Why same sex marriage should be legalized?
The same sex marriage has been widely debated in many countries for a long time. It is important issue between moral and human right. Everyone have a dream to get marries with their couple and have a family, and most of the time this dream is fulfilled, that is, if they are straight. As each year pass by, the number of gay couple is increasing and having a dream of marry. The 1996 DOMA defined marriage as “only a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife, the word ‘spouse’ refers only to a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or wife.” Hendrik Hertzberg said that Marriage should be between a spouse and a spouse, not a gender and a gender. Marriage is a human right for everyone and also bring a lot of social benefits so same sex marriage should be legalized.
Marriage is a human right it means between couple not gender or moral. There are some people who think homosexual have not right to marriage. Most religions consider homosexuality a sin.
