Introduction
Fine Arts and Design has always been a fascinating field of study. Whether it is in the form of music, dance, theatre, or visual art, it builds the student’s confidence, encourages creativity, spurs critical thinking, builds strong communities, teaches teamwork and develops leaders. The fine

On the second part, there were lists of choices or reasons on why students fail. There is also a part in the questionnaire wherein their answers were interpreted as:
5 Very Satisfactory, 4 Satisfactory, 3 Average, 2 Unsatisfactory, and 1 Very Unsatisfactory.
Based from their study, it was then concluded by the researchers that the main reason why students fail in this department is because of professor problems. It is found out that some students had a hard time communicating with their professors. And thus, they weren’t able to fully understand what they were learning.
Analysis and Insights
The way the researchers conducted their study was organized. They used descriptive approach and employed survey questionnaires as the primary source of their data. They utilized random sampling in choosing which respondents would be utilized which was a fair way of obtaining data since every respondent were given equal opportunities to be selected. Their data gathering and interpretation was simple but concise. My only concern was that in their presentation of graphs and table, the interpretations were somewhat lacking and not well elaborated. Here are some of the
I believe that the survey presented in the Unit 2 reading assignment revealed several blind spots concerning my individual academic skills. I was startled to discover some of my individual weaknesses revealed in the survey. The survey was insightful and enlightening, as I realized that I have previously ignored some critical areas addressed. I realize that focusing on my weaknesses can compound the difficulty of achieving academic success (Bethel University, 2014). Developing my weaknesses and converting them to strengths will significantly improve the likelihood of my academic and professional success.
Are there issues that are raised in the chapter that are not specifically addressed by the authors? If yes, what are they and why do you think the authors did not address them directly? One issue raised in chapter nine that are not specifically addressed by the author relates to funding.
New York is a great town, filled with new sights and old friends. One of the many things that Bullard TALENT did in my 7th grade year while in New York was sight-see. Bullard TALENT traveled all over the city, observing the busy residents and the famous landmarks, like the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and Central Park. While all of these places were unforgettable, in my opinion, the best thing that we got to see was a Broadway production of Aladdin. It was truly amazing.
The dataset used in the analysis is the grades.dat; it was used to analyze the performance of the students in the GPA and the final. The dataset includes information collected from the survey of 105 students and includes variables such as performance and demographic variables. The variable GPA measures the performance
Being in front of this challenge students try to work harder in order to succeed. In the article, Sherry uses pieces of evidence from her personal experience and examples to support her thesis. Also, her article is well-organized, and Sherry uses an academic language. However, Sherry do not consider many aspects that might affect students. She gives to much importance the example that she gives with her son.
Involvement in the arts reflects well with students in other areas of education. Shirley Brice Heath is a researcher at Stanford University and Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. She has stated that the arts can have a large influence on students. “For example, Brice notes that those students who participate in the arts for at least three hours on three days each week through at least one full year are: 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, 3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools, ...3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance” (Ford, Adam). Arts can promote better attendance, higher scoring, and students running for offices in their schools.
It is a problem I have been working to fix. I feel most successful in my art, mostly outside the classroom where I can improve on the tidbits I prefer. Artwork is something personal I do better when working
A team approach for planning, implementing, participating in, and assessing arts integration programs is a critical factor in ensuring success. Arts integration supports authentic experiences, which engages and motivates students to achieve academic excellence. The arts component provides students with multiple modes of learning and understanding. Arts integration intensifies academic rigor as students engage problem-solving skills to draw connections across disciplines and demonstrate competency through creative
They lack the indication of students’ knowledge as they are only a depiction of their effort. Absences, laziness, and disengagements are just a few of the factors of why grades are a poor representation of students’ intellectual capacity. While others may argue that grades motivate them, it is not genuinely correct since grades encourage
At first, I was slightly apprehensive about critiquing a fellow classmate’s written paper. The first thoughts that popped into my mind were, what if I give wrong advice on any corrections? What if my classmate gets offended by my comments? On the other hand, I had to make myself realize that the critiquing assignment was not about what was “wrong” or “correct” in their written work. However, it needed to be seen more as helping to make my classmate’s paper better.
With every study, there is a format that the tutor provides to the students and forms the basis of the feedback that the student provides to the tutor. Consequently, the study as an assignment is one of the channels of feedback initiated by the tutor where the student provides feedback in the form of written work or a presentation. It is from the presentation that the tutor then provides a feedback on the extent of the importance of the communication between the
For years, Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) struggled to reform Bates Middle School’s, a highly diverse and largely minority populated school, performance as indicated by state standardized testing scores, which were 14-27% behind the county average. “Bates was marked for Corrective Action (the third and highest tier of school improvement) by AACPS” (Snyder, Klos & Grey-Hawkins, 2014, p. 3). To improve student engagement and achievement the school decided to apply a different curricular approach that focused on “the integration of art into the academic content curricula [to provide] a logical approach to address the variety of students’ intelligences that are reflected in their different learning
Teachers like these make high school difficult. This paper discusses traits of bad teachers, and the study habits they fail to create, in their students. Firstly, a bad teacher is someone who comes into class, and reads from his/her notes, and gives one a problem to work on for an hour with no input from the teacher at all. Bad teachers don’t have class management making it easy to clown around and not pay attention.
“Arts education is critical for helping students develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities” (Chernin). The arts can help people succeed. Art is a way that people can express themselves and share their beliefs. Arts in education can help people focus and attend. Fine arts are important because they make a huge impact on kids education, they make an impact on how people pursue their life careers, and it also helps with stress and anxiety.
Their study took into account a variety of factors that can diminish a student’s academic performance. An undergraduate study done by Neumann et
