Fremont High School is located in Los Angeles, California, “sprawled across a city block.” The school enrolls about 5,000 students every year but only 3,300 are in attendance every day. The students read at an elementary school level and are not provided the necessities to succeed. The school is lacking many resources, such as, classrooms, restrooms, and lunchrooms. The school lacks at least 15 restrooms that the law requires. The average class size is about 33 to 40 students per room in 220 classes. The teachers are worked to exhaustion and the students are treated like animals. Fremont High is lacking the basic needs for everyone there and all of the students know it. School is meant to be a place for students to feel comfortable and educated, not what Fremont High School is.

Struggles with family relations. Bullying. Inconformity. All of these are reasons that, at the early age of 16, Rod Dreher, the author of The Little Way of Ruthie Leming, left his home in St. Francisville to pursue his own aspirations, to escape his tormented childhood. However, years later, after having built up a life outside of Starhill, Rod moves back to his old hometown; this happens not because the town, the people, or the social order changed in any manor, but because Rod developed a new perspective on the entirety of that which was St. Francisville, Louisiana.
The Confederate army in Murfreesboro was commanded by Gen. Braxton Bragg. Bragg had just returned from invading Kentucky before he arrived in Murfreesboro. In Kentucky, he had commanded the Army of Mississippi, and then he was joined my Maj. Gen. Kirby Smith’s army. This new combined army of around 38,000 was renamed the Army of Tennessee. Just like the Union General Buell, Bragg was cautious about engaging the Union troops and decided passivity was wise. After around a month, Bragg moved his troops from where they were stationed, Harrodsburg, Kentucky, through Knoxville and Chattanooga and into Murfreesboro, Tennessee. When he got to Murfreesboro, he immediately organized his troops into a defensive position on the Stones River near Murfreesboro.
Valley Forge: Should I re-enlist? The question all soldiers at Valley Forge asked themselves was will I re-enlist? I decided I was going to re-enlist why would I not re-enlist and not let all people whom I’m fighting lose their freedom from a stupid decision I made. Valley Forge sadly was the ugly duck compared to where the Red Coats were staying.
Valley forge was a winter camp for for soldiers to train. But the conditions at the camp were horrible with bad housing, food, weather, and clothing. Many quit due to those harsh conditions. If I were at Valley Forge I would have definitely quit. 50% of the soldier got diseases and 1,800 to 2,500 died. (Doc A) I honestly would wouldn’t want to be around dirty sick people all day. I also wouldn’t want to die because of all those poor conditions your put through. Many of the patriots clothing was ripped, torn, dirty, and they had no shoes. (Doc B) The time of year and place they were doing has very harsh winters so wouldn’t want to freezing outside all the time. I especially hate it when it's below at least 30 degrees out so I would of been
Valley Forge is a winter camp about 18 miles from Philadelphia. Many colonists are sick and dying since they have little food, and supplies left. On February 1st, 1778, death and illness took over our troops. (Doc A) About 50% of our soldiers are currently sick, and in horrible condition. And since we are close to the end of this winter, around 2,500 people have died. (Doc A) We also don’t have much supplies left. We are low on food, weapons, and having no food leads to death and horrible sickness. The vomit surrounds our camp, and the smoke pollutes our air. (Doc C) I want to live just like anyone here at this camp. The other day I was looking at a painting by William Henry Powell, and noticed that the British were not having a tough time
Valley Forge was a base winter camp located next to Pennsylvania. George Washington helped out and taught the soldiers how to use guns and fight battles. I am going to leave Valley Forge because the quality of this camp is horrible. (DOC A) There was a very high percentage of soldiers who died of illness because they did not cure any illnesses. Almost fifty percent of soldiers were sick, about 3,989 were sick with chickenpox and smallpox. (DOC D) Thomas Paine compares tyranny to hell. The camp was very cold and sometimes the soldiers didn't have shoes to wear. (DOC C) The huts at Valley Forge were very cold and dirty. There was very poor food, they had no meat and nothing to fill our stomachs. Valley Forge was a very poor quality camp and it
If I was in Valley Forge, I would stay and train there. There are very harsh conditions at Valley Forge. I would stay through that to test myself and see how tough I am to see if I can last the conditions. I also want to be known as someone who fought the conditions and trained for war for testing at Valley Forge. I also want people to notice my skills and endurance as a fighter. I want to look fierce in battle to hopefully intimidate my opponents and lower their defense. I’ll even go stealth, and use long range weapons to hide and snipe people. Lastly, I want to protect my family and people. I want to stay to fight as hard as possible to make sure that everyone that looks up to me is safe from my foes. I also want to make my citizens proud
In order to understand our statistical data, we must first accurately grasp the definitions of gentrification and displacement. Gentrification means a demographic or physical change that conforms to the middle class. The financial definition of middle class means that a single individual or household makes between $50k-120k annually. Uniquely, displacement is the removal of something or someone by something else that takes their place. In our case, looking at gentrification in the San Francisco area within the last 10 years will possibly birth an explanation as to why Artist displacement is/was on the rise. San Francisco was once notorious for its urban renewal that lowered housing affordability for its displaced residents. Starting in the
