It has 3 Business Units (BUs) of operation namely Sapient Global Markets, Sapient Nitro, Sapient Government Services with each division pursuing its own go-to-market strategy and vision.
Sapient has featured and its culture has been profiled by Harvard Business School and Yale School of Management through case studies that lay it as an example of excellent Leadership and Organizational Behaviour. Sapient’s foundation has a single promise: To deliver the right business results, on-time, and on budget. It is through adaptability to changing client demands , market trends and technology trends that Sapient has still been delivering. Maintaining a client focus from the very beginning has been one the key drivers to the company’s success.

Keeping in mind the area of work, Global Markets with IT consultancy, this industry would be considered. IT consulting has been one of the fastest growing consulting segments. It includes consultants focused on e-commerce; telecommunications; intranet and Internet strategies and functionality; hardware systems design and implementation; software design, acquisition and implementation; and web site design and operation. Professional competence, low cost structure, diverse and high capabilities, high prospects of IT industry add to core strengths of this industry.
1.3 NATURE OF SERVICES:
The Business Units as discussed above are divided into 3 major lines:
(i)Sapient Nitro:
Sapient Nitro is an integrated digital marketing agency. It focusses on digital, retail, social, mobile and commerce platforms for delivery. It ensures attraction, engagement, transactions through its story-systems. It promises to redefine story-telling by a brand into Story-scaping. Story-scaping has two major components: The organizing idea and the story-system.
The organizing idea is an active statement that holds the whole story together and acts as the basic inspiration for what’s to follow.
The second component acts as a glue to deliver the required emotional and transactional experiences to the consumer.
Some major clients are Activision, Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson and HugoBoss.
