Stephen, a boy taking a break at Tarumi to regain his health, gets the opportunity to watch the role of emotions play a huge part in his life, and Sachi's life, a woman whose life was turned around after being affected by leprosy. First, he watches a fight between Kenzo, Sachi's ex-lover and Matsu, a friend who is Sachi's only connection to her old life, go down after fighting about Sachi’s leprosy. Julie Otsuka’s When the Emperor was Divine is a story about a Japanese-American family and their experience in an internment camp in Utah. In the book, the young girl says to her mother “Is there anything wrong with my face?... People were staring” (15). The reader can see from this quote what it was like for the Japanese-Americans during the war. The quote shows how it was not just a national problem; it was a problem for everyone- including making a ten year old girl feel self-conscious.
In the world today, there is a constant debate on what to do about the growing issue of global warming. Ultimately, the issue can be correlated with the production of energy using nonrenewable resources, fossil fuels. Countless companies have made an effort to make the world ‘cleaner’, by using innovative and contemporary processes of creating energy. Energy sources have sprouted up in morals of creating energy efficiently and does not provide any harmful effects on the environment. One of these various sources of new energy is Nuclear Energy.

Sakoto Fujikasa featured work of artistry displayed within the Harn Museum is know as “Stream.” This piece in particular demonstrates a medium that has been contorted to displays various ripples and waves to resembled that of flowing water. Hence, the name “stream” best befitting it’s whimsical nature. However, at a deeper interpretation of her piece, it can be seen that there is a hiding meaning.

China’s Policies on Climate Change Climate change has become a global issue because it is an utmost overwhelming environmental problem faced by the people living on earth (Harris 2011). It is a serious warning informing the people living on planet earth that our mother earth is in trouble. The change in climate is due to greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases that cause global warming. Greenhouse gases absorb the heat released into the atmosphere and cause global warming (United States Environmental Protection Agency 2012). The reason that China is known to be the largest greenhouse gases emitter is due to its high population (Hung & Liu 2011).
The 44th President, Barack Obama in his Inauguration Speech he talked about the changes that were going to be made in the United States and the current events that are going on. He explained the thing he is going to do to fix it. Obama’s purpose of this speech was to talk about how we as a country are in trouble. America as a whole is going downhill and it needs to be changed around. The audience that he is giving this speech to is the previous Presidents of the United States, the other people he is addressing this to are the people of the United States.
