Mathinna is dressed in a brown skirt and crop top with ochre painting on her body, a necklace and bare feet that clearly demonstrates her being in an aboriginal culture. Men and women in aboriginal cultures would wear body decorations and in Mathinna’s case (her necklace) would all be made from things found naturally. Most body decorations would be worn during special occasions and ceremonies (Daily Life, 2014). Therefore Mathinna wears this necklace to effectively portray that she is going to do a traditional stylised ceremony. Mathinna wore her hair down which was messy when she was in her aboriginal stylised clothing, thus in her culture there wouldn’t be such thing as a hair tie, and therefore this has heightened the representation of her aboriginal stylised clothing.
1938 – In the Beginning Jimmy Thompson, one of the Harbor locals, stood on the sidewalk outside Louie’s barber shop. In spite of the few white puffy clouds looking down on him, the warmth of the early summer day had him rolling up his poorly chosen long-sleeved shirt. The earthy smell of low tide, more pungent than usual, lingered oppressively, as Jimmy reached for his smokes. Striking a match against the bricks of the barber shop building with one hand, he used the other to cover his head; ducking in time to avoid the tip of a seagull’s wing.
Fiona Schneider 9/8/2017 Maresca english 9 per 5 I am Fiona Schneider, I am a cheerleader, I am a lacrosse player, I am a friend, I am a daughter, and I am a sister. One thing that resonated with me that Ashton Kutcher said was it’s better to be smart and know it than to play dumb. It is not a good idea to act like someone you’re not in front of certain people. Be thoughtful and generous to people, saying don’t be rude to someone because of race or ethnicity, they are who they are and you are who you are.

The use of he is the apostrophe in her speech, it catches the audience's attention with the repetition of he. I noticed that when she speaks her tone is warm and she speaks with somewhat of a rhythm, which can catch people's attention. She puts her opinions in the speech, she is passionate, and outspoken when it comes to human rights, and freedom. She stats in her speech “ I feel bound to say that I think perhaps it is somewhat of an imposition on this Assembly to have these amendments offered again here, and I am confident that they will be rejected without debate”(adoption). She also uses euphemism to express her feelings towards people who are lazy and need to use here freedom wisley.
Our America is a book and a movie of the struggle in the Southside of Chicago. Even though, the main plot of the book and the movie was how two characters named Lealan and Lloyd find a way to broadcast their struggles in living in the Southside of Chicago. But, both the book and the movie have the main plot of Eric Morse’s death. Which happened in 1994, two boys Johnny and Tyrone threw a 5 year old boy named Eric out the window because they wanted him to steal candy and he didn’t and so Eric snitched on them. Priestley describes her as a pretty young girl that is quite excited about life, he uses the character of Shelia Birling to present his socialist views and teach the readers the duty of social responsibility. He is eager to teach the Birling’s that everyone can be treated equally not dependent on which “class “you are in, he demonstrates this through the Sheila Birling’s character throughout the second through third acts, following the realization that she has played a part Eva Smith's death, she matures and stands her ground. At first, Shelia is presented as being childish; This can be seen when she says ‘Oh it’s wonderful! Look- Mummy- isn’t it a beauty?
Last Saturday, she was spotted at the George Mason University wearing an awesome dress. This is her statement for supporting Hillary Clinton all the way. She believes that Hillary Clinton would be the right fit as the next president of the United States. This November 8, the fate of the United States is upon the votes of the people.

American Sniper Sociology Concepts Chris Kyle grew up learning how to shoot rifle with his father when hunting, it is shown during the movie when he is having flashbacks at the beginning before he starts going into war. Most of the movie shifts from the war in Iraq to Texas where Kyle moved to. After being in war so long Kyle is unable to operate in the real world and function when having conversations by either being socially awkward or zoning out and thinking everything is dangerous. Kyle loses his socialization after the war and his wife sees the change in her husband. Socialization is the lifelong process through which people learn culture and become functioning members of society (Benokratis, 2016,2017).
UXT Task 2 Austin Olooaringo (ID# 000556089) Western Governors University Work: Alexandros of Antioch, Venus de Milo, c. 130−100 BC Period: classical Period A1. Initial Thoughts My initial thought was the display of feminine beauty and grace as seen from an artist perspective dating back in time. The goddess Aphrodite is a sculptural elegance that has continued to fascinate the art world and remains relevant from the time of its discovery on the island of Melos around 1820. Her posture and demeanor reflect confidence of her personality and womanhood.
In the film 12 Years a Slave the editor, Joe Walker, makes use of a couple of techniques and styles that adds to the film in its own way. Long shots – Joe kept the long shots as long as he thought was necessary to add to the subject matter and the feeling he wanted to bind with the story. At the end of the film there’s this extremely long shot where Solomon is practically staring at the camera for about a minute and a half. The timing of that shot is so perfect because it’s not too short so you don’t have enough time to think about what just happened or too much time to overthink the situation. Closer to the end of the shot he lets the sound fade slowly and rapidly gives you a wakeup call when the next shot starts off where Solomon and the rest of the slaves are busy working in the field.
