First Snow The ghastly precipitation fell in the skies as if hell had poured to impose judgment. Snow bleed down with crisp edges that were as sharp as a spinning wheel that landed upon all the living and the dead. A cacophony filled my ears with the sound of nature and fearful humans. Within all the chaos something so ghoulish yet alluring caught my eyes. The figure sat atop the steel edifice observing the night city with an expression filled with disinterested. The petrifying atmosphere with people meeting their fatality never seemed to satisfy him. His eyes were as dull as a blank canvas. A canvas he could paint as he wanted and control to his amusement. As I observed him, I noticed that a woman caught his attention. A pregnant woman that got involved in a hit and run accident. She was bleeding and screaming cries of help for any passerby, but everyone was too selfishly preoccupied with their own livelihood to help her. Within …show more content…
A ran through the white cold streets and stopped a meter away from the two. He slowly turned to meet my eyes. He seemed like any other man you’ll see in the streets gifted with a charming face, but I felt an unknown terror all over my body. His eyes were cold blooded as if he had bare handed killed millions at one point. I soon noticed that the pure alabaster snow turned red, directing my attentions towards the woman. And within a split second of averting my vision, the immortal like man disappeared. I hastily called the ambulance and accompanied the woman named Raven to the hospital. After explaining the situation, no one believed me that Raven had gotten hit in a hit-and-run accident for her body didn’t have evidence to support my claim. All that was concluded was that Raven had a miscarriage. It later came to my attention that the goblin looking like man brought her back to life, but purposely had her have a miscarriage. Raven wailed and mourned for her

III. DICTION The theme of the story is upheld throughout the entirety of the work through the examples of the respect and admiration that Chips obtained from his fellow peers as well as the students. “He seemed so peaceful that they did not disturb him to say good-night; but in the morning, as the School bell sounded for breakfast, Brookfield had the news.
Chapter four Journal In this chapter, the author looks at hermeneutics in a much broader sense, which is much less exact than the exegesis tool. The author again reminds readers that “a text cannot mean what it never could have meant for its original readers or hearers” (Fee and Stuart, 77). That is why the exegesis must come first. So in summary, the basic rule is not to be used alone, but it can always inform the reader as to what a passage cannot mean.
It’s enough said growing up knowing who you are, but that luxury isn’t always common. Pearl, the daughter of a sinner grows up hearing what people think she is right from the time she was born. Hester her mother, doesn’t make it easier because the words they speak is true. Her mom should give her away because, she’ll be reminded of her sin, Pearl will grow up differently, and also Pearl won’t truly be Puritan. Although, Pearl could care less about that stuff imagine what her life could’ve been.
Scout fell asleep and missed her entrance. She ran on stage at the end, and this caused many others to burst out laughing. The woman accused Scout of this thing. Scout was ashamed and went back home as the last one.
With a twitch, I coughed, gasping for air. My whole body was wet, shivering, lying on the hard floor. To my right was the wooden trough resting on it’s side. It was empty now. All around me the cobblestone floor was wet.

During the course of this past week and a half, I have been wearing the letter I chose to represent me. My results I received were very weak and almost unresponsive. But didn’t I wear it all day for a week? Yes, people tend to mind their own business while walking in-between classes.
The Scarlet Letter While the book, The Scarlet Letter, was set in the 15th century, it still contained many lessons that can be put to use in today’s society. In the Puritan community, individualism is discouraged and even punished. If one doesn’t live to the high moral standards, they will become outcasts of the community. Hester Prynne committed the sin of adultery and her life suffered greatly because of it.
Sophie Zulandt Professor Erritouni US LITERATURE: BEGINNINGS-1860 23 April 2023 The Scarlet Letter and the Nature of Evil The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawthorne is predominantly known around the world as a forbidden love novel; Hawthorne does a great job of exhibiting this theme in his work. Another important aspect to note is that this novel is set in Puritan, New England.
To Kill a Mockingbird Journal #3 I am in the middle of the Novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” in which so far there has been conflict with families in a small town in Alabama. Some conflict between these families is what is considered the good thing to do and what is considered the bad thing to do. In this journal I will be evaluating the Character Atticus and his most recent of emulation between his heart and his town.
Every time she saw him, a passion as white-hot as the sun hit her with more force than when the carpenter down the road smacked his hammer onto the head of a nail. He was dressed as a clergyman, yet a robe blacker than Satan’s soul adorned his body like a sinner’s cloak. The reader, I would say, might find this ironic, but irony in this situation is the key to what causes trouble in the first place. As she watched him walk down the dirt path, occasionally stopping to converse with those who greeted him, she noticed that he strode haughtily, yet it seemed like he tried hiding it. He did not want people to see him stroll proudly, for he was a minister, and it would be expected of him to walk with humility.
The larger of the two was a burly man, his barrel chest and trunk limbs straining his old white cotton suit – now a malaised yellow through years of sweat. A battered panama hat and restitched pair of canvas shoes gave him almost the aspect of a caricature, like a Charles Laughton character from a seedy old noir. To a casual observer his ruffled appearance and distracted air made him seem like a dotty schoolmaster who had lost his students. But these affectations were deliberately contrived to disarm, and the true character of the man within was that of a practiced torturer and gleeful sadist. Certainly, Dr Anton Prospero's face wasn't about to win him any admirers.
She lands on the floor. There’s a knife in Raven’s hand, covered in blood. Terror strikes me as I realize what just happened in front of my eyes. Too shocked to say anything. Too shocked to scream.
