“Beta club is not for everyone, it is just for those who want to be leaders.” That is exactly why I want to be a member of the Beta club. I want to be a leader. The Beta club is an opportunity giving program, which will give us the chance to serve others and be around others who are different from us. The Beta club can open up many students’ hearts and convey their dreams to the world. The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
A person isn 't just born the way they are today. They change themselves throughout their lifetime. Not only does a person grow and change physically, but their personality along grows with them. Through a person 's life they shape who they become to be based on past experiences. The reason that everyone acts differently is because everyone has lived their own life. Based on my life so far two things that are a part of me that helped mold me to who I am today is my involvement in marching band, as well as the AVID program.
I am an immigrant. The word that Donald Trump hates. The set of people that receives many blames for crimes or mischief. But after all, thats me. I am like any other person who gets blamed, I am an immigrant.

All of which helped tremendously with becoming a more precise writer and developing my identity as a writer.
Imagine what it is like to be seven years old moving to a country where you don’t know anyone, you don’t understand the language, and everything seems foreign. When I first arrived to the United States, I didn’t have friends due to my inability to speak English. It wasn’t an easy journey, but my determination to achieve the American Dream gave me strength to keep going. I decided to take English courses during my free time, and now I am a great writer who is fluent in both English and Spanish. In the book Sonnets and Salsa by Carmen Tafolla and the play In the Heights by Quiara Alegría Hudes, both writers emphasize the productivity and perseverance of Latino immigrants in America. Carmen Tafolla delights us with captivating poetries brimming
Bear with me here. It will probably come to your surprise that I just decided what I wanted to do for a living a week ago. One of the main things that has helped me decide was the positive and supportive environment at Haysville High School. HHS has given me a scholarship opportunity that I am incredibly thankful for. This essay will express my dreams, my financial situation, and my intention on why I need this scholarship.
Ten years ago, I immigrated to the United States and ever since I have been an undocumented immigrant. Due to my legal status in the United States, I felt like I was restricted from certain situations and possessions and would never be able to succeed. I was not living the normal life of a seven-year-old. Instead, I had to learn to cope and adapt to a whole new culture. Even though the drastic change at such a young age was a challenge, it has shaped who I am today.
I’ve grown as a student of English this term. I worked on several things including my weaknesses, what i struggle with on a daily basis and even my strengths. Doing this has helped me become a better reader, writer, thinker and a better person. I’ve also use the resources available, like going to tutoring and asking for help when i still feel stuck on something. Going for help is much better than trying to figure out for myself what i needed to work on. I know by setting a goal for myself and planning has also made me grow as a student. My reading and thinking isn 't much of a problem. But i still have a lot of weaknesses i need to focus on, such has actually trying to read an article or sometimes missing key ideas of what i’ve read.
I am pursing a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am passionate about education and excited to share the joy of learning with students. The perspective of wonder and sense of excitement that children bring into education motivates me daily. Teaching can leave a lasting impression in a child’s life and offers a special opportunity to shape the bright young minds of future generations. While many professions can be impactful, I believe the qualities of the person in the career position to be the most influential. The integrity I possess and genuine character I have reveals my authentic positive outlook on life. I aspire to be the voice that encourages students to obtain a life changing education that will aid them in their journey. I desire to be a teacher that takes time out of my day to have meaningful minutes in a student’s life and to represent the picture of a positive role- model. I hope to leave a lasting impact by creating a caring atmosphere that allows students to express themselves, discover knowledge, and obtain their fullest potential confidently!
Why do people want to become teachers? There is low pay, long hours, little benefits, students have more rights than teachers. I want to be a teacher because I want to make a difference and change every child’s heart that I come into contact with. Teaching is one of those jobs where you get to be an undercover angel, because you are able to effect so many different lives by caring and teaching. You matter not only to one person in an office, but for 18-20 kids. You shape and mold them to become the person they are.
In today’s environment, the ownership is on us, as an individual to take responsibility for our own development, rather than expecting our organization to do it for us. The question, which always ponders over mind is does my personal skills suits to today’s dynamic world? If not, how do I move forward? Hence, the starting point is to introspect, retrospect and do an evaluation through self-assessment tools in order to know myself, strengths and limitations and my ability to perform in dynamic roles in the business environment.
Describe several personal and professional goals you would like to achieve in the next five years, including why these goals are important to you.
I want to enter into the field of education because I want to see children succeed. I love to let children know that they can accomplish anything that they put their minds to. I want to enter the field of education because I genuinely have a passion to teach and better every child that I can. I aspire to be a teacher because I want to become a great teacher that kids can look up to. I hope to someday be a teacher that when a child grows up they still remember fondly. I want to teach so that I can create an inclusive classroom environment that is perfect for learning. My goal is to get students excited to learn. I will accommodate to all of my students according to their individual needs. I aspire to be a teacher who respects their students and gets respect back.
I have always hated writing about myself, and I always dreaded assignments in school where I had to describe myself. I always wanted to avoid doing these assignments because I did not want to sound narcissistic, or self-absorbed. I dislike people like that now, because I used to be one of those people. It took many lessons learned before I humbled myself; I am still learning to humble myself today with recent experiences I have had. Although I hate to write about myself, I have always liked to reflect on myself. I spend a significant amount of time just thinking about myself as I go throughout my day. I constantly question myself: why am I the way that I am, what could I have done better here, what is my place in the world, etc. In the context of this paper, I have come to a conclusion. In the past, I was a leader. Now, I realized I have failed. Despite what my MBTI test may say, I am a leader no more.
The question posed in the title, “Who am I?” is very simple but the answers are never so. What defines me as who I am as a person today are relatively my attitude, my personal values and beliefs to life that developed throughout my life. “Values are constructs that we hold as important and beliefs are constructs that we hold to be true (Collins & Chippendale, 1995)”. Meanwhile, attitudes are relatively lasting clusters of emotions, beliefs, and behavior tendencies directed towards specific ideas, people or objects (Baron & Byrne, 1984). Generally, my family members, friends and the experiences I had contribute to my sense of who I am and how I view the world. With the aid of the two counseling theories, Roger’s personality theory and Adlerian personality theory, I managed to make a personal self-reflection on my values, attitudes, beliefs and how became who am I today.
