Florence Kelley delivered a speech to the National American Woman Suffrage Association regarding the argument that child labor should be stopped. She presented very good arguments and persuaded many people to follow what she was arguing about. She used many different rhetorical strategies and she organized and analyzed her speech to perfect what she was going to say.
In the 1960s the African Americans were freed, but did they really have all the rights they were promised? Racial conflicts were everywhere. Lyndon B. Johnson was current president and was trying to encourage congress to pass a bill called The Voting Rights Act. To influence the vote he gave the speech “We Shall Overcome.” In “We Shall Overcome” President Lyndon Johnson used ethos, pathos, logos, and other rhetorical devices such as allusions, repetition and appeals to authority to persuade congress to pass the act.
Sometimes the decision is made to bring in an external professional to work with the school. This may be necessary if children require specialist assessments if concerns are raised by staff or parent/carers. Although there are many different types of professionals I am going to explain the role of three professionals.
Ethos has to do with credibility and establishing a good relationship with the audience. This can also be expressed through your tone and confidence of the matter. If someone is more confident through his or her tone, it'll attract the reader to continue reading without questioning the validity of the argument. In my personal statement, I was telling a story that I have told others many times before to a variety of people. My tone remains subtle and informal so that the audience feels like we are having a conversation. This immediately builds a good relationship with the audience (which is also beneficial for establishing pathos), makes me trustworthy, and allows the audience to adapt to my character. In order to establish ethos, I immediately painted the picture of the accident scene and what was going on in my mind.
As an educator, and conceivable future educational leader, my personal code of ethics is one that envelops uprightness, correspondence, respect, imparted objectives, sympathy, open-mindedness, and confidentiality. A leader recognizes what is correct and utilizes it to make the best decision paying little mind to personal danger. I will utilize this personal code of ethics when settling on decisions including ethical issues and to guide my profession. I accept the focal and most basic reason for an educational leader is: To foster a dream for the organization as a learning community that respects the characteristic worth and abilities of every person and that fosters the planning of students

There are many writers that affect our emotions or that make us think that his or her statements are reasonable, whether they are authors of books, or script writers for a movie or a play. In Morgan Spurlock’s film, Supersize Me, he uses three common rhetorical strategies: ethos, pathos, and logos. He uses all three effectively, however pathos has the greatest effect out of all three rhetorical strategies.
Billy Joel is a musician and he is giving the commencement speech at Berklee College of Music in 1993. Berklee College of Music is the largest contemporary music college in the world. Billy Joel is an amazing singer and songwriter so even though he did not attend this college, it is still an honor to be able to speak there. His commencement speech has plenty of rhetorical literary devices such as ethos, logos, pathos, parallelism, antithesis, as well allusions. There are other literary devices such as metaphors, rhetorical questions, and similes.

They are urging the Commander in Chief of the reasons they should not go forth with using this weapon. When confronted with different avenues to take at a time of war for the safety of your nation having all opinions to consider is extremely important factor. The petition that was presented to President Roosevelt was successful and unsuccessful at the same time.

Nike is very smart in marketing their products to the general public. They use all types of methods to get the company to attract consumers. Nike spend a lot of money on marketing and creating products. Nike has created products with high quality in almost every sport around the global. Nike boosted their credibility and reliability, by manipulated uses of Ethos, Logos and lastly Pathos.
