Field Experience Essay

In order to show my learning growth as an individual capable to lead a school, I need to take the many advantages that offer every single of my field experiences. For example, I have to show not only my understanding of the standards and each of their domains, but also how I am able to use the field experience as a portal or a living opportunity to help me attain the actions and mentality of a leader. In order to do that, I need to focus on each standard to enable it to guide me through my actions, words and daily routines. The following are the standards that need to be taken in consideration in order to embrace a better leader within me.

ELCC 1: Vision

Under this standard, I have to make sure to take part of all decisions, at this point

In order to be better leaders we need to reflect on many scenarios, on the lessons delivered, on how are they delivered, on the resources used and on the classroom atmosphere as well. All the pieces are needed in order to create better learning opportunities for all learners. A great administrator not only observes classrooms or just do a walkthrough but indeed takes that opportunity to learn and to teach others how to refocus on what is needed. By doing walkthroughs as well as talking to teachers and finding out the ways resources are used, administrators are creating an opportunity for all teachers to reflect on their used of resources as well as their teaching. Also, it is important that the administrator walks into classroom to observe how is the learning atmosphere and how different learning opportunities are taking place within the school, this way, the administrator will learn about different techniques and how to magnify those best teaching strategies through embedded workshops. Nothing better than learning from each other, teachers will feel appreciated and valued as well as just by doing this the whole school community will get enrich by the new learning opportunity given to all staff
