Should school be year round with more breaks to improve education? My opinion is no, I think it’s a bad idea to have school year round. Having year round would have a negative impact on the students, they wouldn’t be able to spend as much time with family, and no time for themselves. Having school year round would have a negative impact on the students. Students stress level would be higher from all the constant work they would have to do, with no breaks would be confused. The mind would need more time to regulate the school times. If students worked all year long they would get too stressed and more of them would drop out. Plus, kids wouldn’t have much time with their loved ones. Students, like myself, wouldn’t be able to spend as much time
We 've just had two weeks off, everyone is refreshed, remotivated and their fire has been rekindled." ( Barton). Most importantly students, teachers and administration form a better relationship when all these factors are put together. Although most kids are used to traditional school schedules, year-round school will benefit them more.
After reading, ¨Say No To Year-Round Schooling¨ by Nick Castillino. I was convinced th having a summer break would be better for the kids. Amy said, kids who are struggling in school wouldn't have to go to summer schools anymore, it would be hard for kids to have such a long attention span, and it would cost too much for the school districts. In Amy MacDonald's article she said,¨Children who are struggling in school would no longer have to go to summer school.¨ But I think that if kids have to go to summer school during their breaks, It is a good lesson for the kids to do well in school so they do not have to go to summer school.
Junior year was a bit challenging for me. It was not challenging because of the work, but I joined a career program. I had to keep up with both of my schools. For me to be successful with so many things going on, I had to stay organized and think ahead. My success was that I kept all my grades above a C+.
Year-round school is exceptionally better than it sounds to most. It may sound to students like going to school more often and never getting away from it, but it’s actually not that way at all. Year-round school for school faculty and students would actually be helpful and very beneficial. All schools should participate in year-round school because children and faculty get more breaks, students forget things over summer break, and it would be efficient use of the school building. Normal school schedules have around 10 to 12 week summer breaks.
Year round school benefit is for a child not to have a lapse in learning or remembering what they’ve learned. That’s when the parents or guardians need’s to step in to continue educational learning. Teachers alone can’t be responsible for the education others need to play their part. Just because summer vacation has started doesn’t mean learning should have stopped. Since year round schooling isn’t what’s normal adjusting could be difficult.
School Year Round Why would anyone want to go to school a year-round? (Rhetorical Question) School should be a year-round because then students will not forget their learning, be more focused on their education and it will be easier to earn their credits in a shorter period of time. Firstly, A school year-round should be offered each year so students will not forget the learning. Many students that come back from their summer break most likely struggle on what they have learned, for instance, everyone ignores most of the subjects and methods that everyone discovered last year.
When considering the choice of whether, schools should convert to year round schooling or not, the choice should definitely be schools should not convert to year round schooling. A few reasons schools should not convert to year round schooling is because students can even forget something they learned, in a short period of time, and then the teachers would have to reteach the same topic, which is extremely frustrating. The students would also spend less time with their family, because they don’t have the traditional summer break. Not only that, but it causes parents more stress to have to plan ahead of time for how they were going to take care of their children whenever they had breaks (which were very frequent). If this claim is not listened to, teachers teach the same thing repeatedly, family bonds weaken, it disrupts parents work, and it risks the child’s safety.
Students learn better in year round schools. I say yes that student should have school all year long. The article says that kids forget what they learned over the summer. If students says in school all year long then they will not forget what they learned. Not many schools are doing all year long schools.
Finally, another drawback is that without summer break, there will be a financial toll. In a newspaper article titled “Year Round Schooling Explained”, it says, “Tourism and other industries that count on summer vacationers might suffer. High schoolers might be less able to get summer jobs.” This could end up causing a big financial problem for a lot of people. To conclude, the benefits and drawbacks of year-round schooling are about equal.
The day that we don’t have school could be the day that we could make up work and turn in assignments online on classroom. A little homework for each class would help out a lot. Teachers want to teach students and have them know all the knowledge that they teach and maybe use it in the later day lives and longer days with longer periods would let those teachers take their time teaching their subjects. This also allows students to take their time in getting their toughest work done. The class periods would probably be over an hour long but longer school days is a must if you for sure have four day weeks.
Attending school on a year-round calendar or a traditional calendar is a huge debate in the school districts across the United States. It is mainly about which calendar is best for the students’ academics. Everyone is talking about whether to keep the traditional school calendar or switch to year-round school. Year-round schooling is moving away from the traditional three semesters with a long summer break to shorter semesters with more, but shorter holidays. Since this is an ongoing debate, there are both pros and cons of having a change happen.
Should Schools Keep Summer Break? I believe that schools should keep summer break for their kids. There are many ways, having a summer break contributes to schools and the community. It is an American tradition to get out of school for the hot summer months.
The first reason is that students will have less free time. Now if the school system changes to school schedule by adding one hour, it will cause an impact on a lot of students. Students will have to spend most of their week in school. Which will affect their
It would be a lot easier with only seven classes with a study hall too. Then we would have longer lunches or at least more than eight periods. The classes can give us more time to finish our work. The less classes we have the less homework we have to do. So that you won’t keep falling asleep in class if you just get your work finished and turn it in on time instead with a short class with not any time to get to your next class.
I think schools should last all year long making three things very helpful for students. First, I thing school should last all year long teachers should give students writing suggestions for the next year. For example before some schools did not have any activities or future vision or development are schools. Second, I think school should give gifts to students that go to school all year long. There are students that can give gifts honoring.
