Abstract: This paper highlights the numerous types of waste segregations and e-waste management techniques. Actually the solid waste is, any garbage, refuse or rubbish which consists of domestic, commercial and industrial wastes. Such wastes should be handled properly and its disposal should be taken care of or else it can lead to numerous risks. Our main aim is to reduce the effects of waste on human health and environment, so solid waste management should be initiated. The waste which is of dry type can be classified as recyclable (i.e. paper, plastic, glass, metals) and non-recyclable. The dry type of waste includes the electronic waste or e-waste consisting of broken or unwanted electrical or electronic parts or equipment. The various …show more content…
The segregation, handling, transport and disposal of waste are to be properly managed so as to minimize the risks to the health and safety of patients, the public as well as environment and economic value of the waste must be best realized when it is segregated .India is developing country with 16 per cent of the world population and also have 2% of the total land area. The exponential increase in industrialization is not only consuming large areas of agricultural land but also simultaneously causing serious environmental degradation. Industrialization and urbanization have not only resulted on discharge of large wastes is rich in organic matter but also in nutrients. Its has enormous quantities of industrial solid organic wastes available outside the farm from different sources and also they are yet to be used judiciously in crop …show more content…
Black water is waste water generate in the toilet is called “Black water”. It contains harmful pathogen. Some solid waste can also be converted to a liquid waste form for disposal.
The different sources includes point source and non-point source discharges such as storm water and wastewater e.g. liquid waste include wash water from homes, liquids used for cleaning in industries and waste detergents.

Need of waste management:
The need of waste management is to gain an understanding of waste management planning concepts, frameworks, strategies, and also components that are current as well as emerging in the field. The sorting of waste is essential as the amount of waste being generated today causes immense problem. In fact, it is believed that a larger portion can be recycled, a part of it can be converted to compost and also only a smaller portion of it is real waste that has no use and has to be
From: Mr.Jazayeripour the manager of Mojave Desert community to: The California Environmental Protection Agency Water is one of the necessary sources for organisms to survive in many ways. and did you know that (The United States uses about 346,000 million gallons of fresh water every day. allaboutwater.org-water.facts ) Mojave river, colorado river and underground water are the main sources of water for animals, plants, residential, industrial and agricultural uses. ground-water depletion is primarily causes by sustained groundwater pumping.
I believe the contaminated water look dark brown and it smelled like soil potting and it was dirty. After the potting water it moved to the top of the
Insufficiently treated greywater was evaluated on soil and plants, in a pot study, to test its effect on the environment. The commercial greywater systems comprised of filtration systems and wastewater treatment systems. The experiment concluded that both systems that were used might have slight environmental effects on plants. Further studies have to resolve the risk that is associated with the re use of greywater.
The particular classifications of contamination and sullying are microbiological, eutrophication, compound, suspended solids, strong squanders, warm, radionuclides, and spills. Microbiological squander for the most part comprise of the waste , material discovered I therapeutic waste. Despite the fact that there are particular directions for discarding this waste material, the contamination comes to fruition when those guideline are not being permitted. ("Water: Laws and Executive Orders," 2010). Eutrophication is an extreme wealth of supplements in a lake or different waterways.
Chris Carroll a staff writer for National Geographic decided to find out where used electronics end up. In his essay, “High Tech Trash,” Carroll describes the horrid condition In Ghana, China, where poor areas like Ghana are the popular dumping grounds for “e-waste.” e-waste is old technology that we no longer have use for, and ends up in dumps. Carroll describes the condition in which people scrap our old waste by tearing apart old devices and burning away flame retardants so they can make a profit. “Choking, I pull my shirt over my nose and approach a boy about 15, his thin frame wreathed in smoke” (Carroll 79).
In order to recycle the water, the water must travel by sewers which can result into contamination of the water. Contamination of drinking water comes from the raw sewage overflow, leaking sewage lines, and partially treated waste. If consumption of contaminated was ever occur, threats that would become about would be E.Coli, Hepatitis A, Giardia, and
Meanwhile, the methods of waste disposal have improved over time. Also, that getting rid of garbage is quickly becoming a big problem due to our methods of waste disposal are only a temporary solution. Moreover; the waste that can’t decompose
Stormwater runoff and stormwater pollution begins when rain and snow precipitation flows over the surfaces of our yards, fields, woods, streets, parking lots, and roofs. These watertight areas do not allow the stormwater runoff to naturally soak into the ground. Stormwater picks up dirt, chemicals, debris, fertilizers, oils, bacteria, and other pollutants and migrate into the storm sewer system or directly into a lake, river, creek, wetland, or coastal water. All the pollution that enters the storm sewers or the bodies of water directly is untreated, and can affect the fish and wildlife, areas we use for swimming, fishing, and drinking water (GOV). Sediment can destroy aquatic habitats; they make it hard and sometimes impossible for aquatic
PH; What, When, Why, Where, Who? The PH levels of water is very important. Many people do not realize how important this is. PH levels that are too low could cause health problems. Even water that has high levels of ph of cause problems with piping and duch.
Waste Management Inc Is a company that is try to achieve a “zero waste’ in North America. It was founded in 1971 by Wayne Huizenga and Dean Buntrock. They provide services for: • Waste • Recyclables • Yard debris • Hazardous materials collection, • Hauling, treatment and disposal • Dumpster rental • Portable toilet rental • Security services
A lack of attention to water conservation and protection as well as a lack of awareness about the significant role of water management in China’s economic and social development has led to ineffective and poor water management throughout the years (Global water partnership, 2015). In addition, poor quality water monitoring and water administration in rural China are also key issues that the Chinese government are trying to solve (Global water partnership, 2015. However, to treat domestic wastewater in rural areas is a major challenge. According to a study about China’s rural water management (Yu, et. al., 2015), a lack of sewage piping systems has forced sewage from private toilets to be discharged into local water bodies, posing the local ecosystem to serious health risk and environmental risk.
As society’s demand for consumer electronics grow, so too does its electronic waste. Electronic waste, or “e-waste” can be characterized as electronic items that have become inoperative, unwanted or obsolete and have essentially reached the end of their usefulness [1]. The proper disposal of such waste is a growing environmental concern. As a result, techniques have been introduced worldwide to recycle some of this waste. In this paper, we will discuss the e-waste recycling programs present in two very distinctive countries, Canada and China.
Industrial and capital hubs in developing countries are similarly characterized by multiple urban sprawls, informal settlements and overcrowding. The local governments or municipalities in many developing countries are highly challenged by mainly poor or weak policy and legislative provisions to regulate and enforce waste management guidelines. They also lack adequate funding and the correct capacity in terms of waste management personnel. All these challenges lead to situations where these local authorities are failing to take effective decisions with regards to solid waste management. It is worth noting that the decisions which municipalities are facing in terms of managing solid waste are not only difficult and capital intensive but they impact greatly on the natural environment as well as on social lives of people, therefore solutions to this issue are a matter of
LITERATURE REVIEW What is water pollution? As the country is becoming more and more populated, the demands for social services have increased significantly. This has led to an increase of the pollution in many developing towns such as Ga-kgapane. The most disturbing and problematic forms of pollution in Ga-kgapane is the pollution of the natural streams. Water pollution is when there is a build of one or more substances in water to such an extent that it causes problems for animals or plants.
Statement of the Problem Due to the approaching occurrence, the Starmall Alabang has taken its toll in becoming one of the many companies of utilizing the waste water system treatment. However, the denoting impotence of the existing waste water system treatment is a contributing worry to the operation. Purpose of the Study The analytical report aims
