Are you one of those people who have a hard time loving yourself? If so, you are not alone. Loving yourself is an ongoing journey. It takes practice. You can do it! Here are some tips for you to practice self love.
1. Practice receiving love
To truly love is to be able to receive it. When someone loves you, does some kind deeds to you, say kind words, give you gifts, or give you compliments, embrace it. Allow yourself to feel the love that has come your way. Know that you are worthy of love. It is important to accept a gift of love by others. You give yourself a chance to learn more about yourself that you are lovable. You give someone a joy of giving by loving you. Another important way is to practice receiving love by saying "I love you"

to say "no" to people when you do not feel like doing something. Do not feel guilty about it. Just realize that you have the right to do so. This is different from doing things out of love. If you do things out of love and your heart wants to do them, that is a different story. What I am talking about here is when your heart does not want to do it and you feel like you have to please someone, and make others happy by over extending yourself. Learning how to say "no" is an art. It takes practice. You might say "Thank you for asking. I am not ready to commit to doing anything right now." You cannot please everyone. Do you treat him/her with love, kindness, trust, appreciation, acceptance, and respect? If you can give that to your friend, why don't you give that to yourself? Practice treating yourself like you treat your very best friend by saying kind words to yourself. Stop calling yourself names. Stop beating yourself up. Forgive yourself. Give yourself compliments. Know your boundaries and listen deeply to your needs. Treat yourself kindly, gently, and lovingly like you treat your very best friend.
5. Forgive
Forgive yourself for all the mistakes, regrets, shames, and everything. Leave the past behind and be present with your new day. Today is your day. It is time to move forward. Just do it.

6. Nurture yourself
Self care is very important. Set up some time to be by yourself, just by yourself. Do something that gives you peace, love, and joy with yourself. You can nurture yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Physical
*Go to a gym, yoga class, take a walk, play tennis, or any kind of exercise that you love to do
*Go to a dance class if you love to dance
*Take a nap when you want and need to
*Get a massage
*Consume healthy food that is good for your body.
Realize that you do this because you love you. Take very good care of you. If you don't, who will?
The Era of Not So Good Feelings Many historians label the period after the War of 1812 as the “Era of Good Feelings” but it certainly did not seem that way towards many others. This so called “Era of Good Feelings” dealt with the extension of slavery and the differing views on that subject between the North and the South, the American System that helped the United States industrialize and expand but led the country from nationalism to new sectionalism views; thus causing tensions to rise. Slavery had been protracted since the 1600s and with the extension of slavery and many differing views from both the Northerners and Southerners, it became a huge issue. Northerners opposed the extension of slavery because of the 3/5 Compromise which provided unfair representation to slave states compared to the northern states.
We are humans and a majority of us have dealt with heartache, pain, broken promises, along with the joyous things like dreams, aspirations, and successful futures. Humans mess up and make mistakes, but we have to remember that forgiveness is a very prestigious and powerful thing. Forgiveness affects people’s lives in positive ways through the hardships, difficulties, and struggles of life. There comes a time when forgiveness should not be available to some individuals. However, this depends on the past situations that have occurred in your life as well as other individuals.

Forgiving someone is one of the best things you could do. However, for you to forgive someone, you must accept what has happened and be ready to move on. Forgiving someone gives them an opportunity to redeem themselves, and allows them to move on as well. By accepting the past, you might find reasoning within the mistakes of the others, and give you as better understanding of how you should act. Forgiveness is a large part of The First Stone, and within the story is a valuable lesson:

It is and emotion that is quite strong, and many will stop at nothing to seek love. Love knows no boundaries and it does not matter if you are rich, poor, old, or young, it will find a way to come into different people’s lives.
It is important to have a solid sleep schedule and sticking with it. Reaching out and talking with family, friends, or colleagues. You should share what is going on in your life, or writing in a journal could help. Doing something that makes you feel good, such as going for a walk, drive, running, or even reading a book. Try and do at least one thing throughout the day that you enjoying doing even if you only have 15 minutes a day.

This is well portrayed in Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, and often uses allusions to highlight love and its effects. There are also many other allusions that do not involve love in a positive way, including Romeo’s unreturned love and Mercutio’s continuous mockery of love.

I had to forgive myself, and help myself to let go of my anger, hurt, pain, and start to love myself and all that I am. I had to understand that what happened wasn’t my fault; that I wasn’t the cause of all my mothers’ anger. Only then was I able to grow into the person I am today; only then I was able to start on the path of truly forgiving others. Forgiveness is a decision to let go of all the resentment and thoughts of revenge. Forgiveness can even lead to feelings of understanding, empathy and compassion for the one who hurt you.
What is Love? If you were to search it up you get the vague definition which reads: an intense feeling of deep affection. But it’s so much more, it has so many different meanings to people. Even wrong meanings that people associate it with. Love comes in many different forms, such as: friendship, family, and partnership.
Love: An endless supply of happiness and dopamine I’ll never forget the time I met my girlfriend. I was at my best friend’s birthday party, when a tall beautiful girl with wavy brown hair and the clearest complexion, her face full of happiness and joy. The moment I saw her, was the moment I knew that I had powerful feelings for her. It was amazing actually…feelings began to swell in brain, lust, compassion, affection, adoration, racing through my mind. That would be the day that I would began to fall for Alex.
Similarly, you cannot stay awake for the next three consecutive hours and cannot stay awake for the next three days. To stay healthy and maintain good health, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential. In addition to eating a rich diet rich in nutrients, daily diet should have adequate sleep and exercise to maintain health. It is also important that you stay with those people who are full of thinking of positivity and instead encourage them to do better instead of putting yourself in trouble.
