“Arrival” is a mystery, sci-fi drama directed by Denis Villeneuve in his wonderful betrayal of the unknown. ’Arrival’ digs deep into the unexpected, when a bunch of alien vessels land in 12 different spots on earth, leaving everyone curious about what their intent on earth is. With the military confused they pair together two scientists Louise Banks (Amy Adams) and Ian Donnelly (Jeremy Renner) who both study unique fields as Louise studies linguistics why Ian is a physicist, both are taken to a military base right outside of where one of the Heptapod’s (aliens) vessels have landed.
The most powerful scene in the movie “Crash” is the scene where a black male and female couple is driving a car that looks like the same one that has been stolen in the movie but it is not a stolen car because the license plate is different. Matt Dillon, who is a white racist police officer pulls the couple over and persuaded them to get out of the car and he pats them both down, while he was patting the women down he molested her in the presence of her husband and the husband could not bear to see what he was doing to his wife, although he cannot put a halt or stop the cop because he will be accused of assaulting a police officer, he has think about his standards within society. For example, although the police officer is committing a crime, the husband cannot have to take in consideration that if he does anything to the officer or reacted in a very malicious way, he would not only be accused of assaulting the police but he will also be a color guy assaulting an officer. Moreover, since there are two different races it will be some worse authorities in the conflict. To sum up, the scene is mostly about how a couple was mistreated by the racist officer because of their race and the husband has to rethink what will happen to him if he risks his life for his wife.
“Awakenings” is a true-story based film made by Penny Marshall, produced by Walter F. Parkes and Lawrence Lasker, written by Steven Zaillian, and based on the book witten by Oliver Sacks, with the actors led by Mr. Robin Williams and Mr. Robert De Niro, both as the protagonist in the film. Their co-stars are Julie Kavner as the nurse who has a secret affection for Doctor Sayer, portrayed by Willams, Penelope Ann Miller as the daughter of a patient in the hospital and Leonard’s love interest, who is played by De Niro, and Ruth Nelson as Mrs. Lowe, Leonard’s mother. Most drama films portray common problems that make people reflect on their lives. However this film shows it’s viewers that for some people, life is more valuable.
Throughout the entirety of The Matrix, there are a multitude of attributes that lead to the enticing plot of the movie. The Matrix demonstrates how one must accept their reality and learn to accept themselves for who they are meant to be, especially in terms of the hero 's journey. Neo struggles to cope with his introduction into his new world, which makes him question himself and his quest. Intertwined within the movie are various elements that all work together to exemplify Neo 's journey with himself as the movie progresses. The numerous attributes within The Matrix including perception, Biblical references, and fairy tales will be explored to convey how they work to build the hero 's journey in the film.
David Lynch has been filming his debut movie Eraserhead for six years because of the difficulty to fund the production. During this time, Jack Nance, the main actor, was not allowed to cut his hair because of obvious reasons. On the opening night, twenty-five people watched it; it eventually became popular over several runs as midnight movie. Ninety-nine weeks and 7$ dollars. Since its release, the movie gained mixed reviews, called both "a sickening bad-taste exercise" or "murkily pretentious” and a "so consumed with surreal imagery that there are almost limitless possibilities to read personal theories into it" or "by turns beautiful, annoying, funny, exasperating and repellent, but always bristling with a nervous energy" , rating it five stars out of five.

The Matrix is an American-Australian neo-noir science fiction film written and directed by the Wachowski brothers, the film shows a frightening future in which reality as seen by most humans is actually a replicated reality called "the Matrix", created by sentient machines to overcome the human population. A computer programmer named Neo learns this truth. After finding out the truth Neo is drawn into a rebellion against the machines. The rebellion consists of other people who have been freed from the "dream world" that was created.
Death of a Salesman has been extremely influential in regards to theatrical performance and it has been performed by multiple different theatre groups. It has also been made into a movie, which has actors such as Dustin Hoffman as Willy Loman, John Malkovich as Biff Loman, and Kate Reid as Linda Loman. All of these actors’ performances were true to the character and were extremely realistic. It was easy for the audience to get caught up in the characters that these actors portrayed. Throughout the movie, Dustin Hoffman, John Malkovich, and Kate Reid all provided an outstanding performance by ensuring that their facial expressions, body language, and emotions always shined through all the while they were creating realistic characters that were easily believable by the audience.
However, the shot of Agent Smith and Neo jumping into the air, and unloading their guns caters to the Telottes (2001) idea of the science fiction trickery. The shot is almost fantasy like, as this action could not be done by people in real life without the use of effects. This scene is full of different genre elements and tropes and is an example of Telottes (2001) idea of how diverse science fiction films are.
