In accordance with the Civil Service Act, the process of sourcing and recruiting employees, job transfers, promotions and dismissal shall be carried out as per the policies and principles determined into the Maldives Civil Service Act and this Regulation. This does not constrain any power or authority vested in the Commission by the Constitution or Law. It shall also not affect the validity of sourcing and recruiting employees, job transfers, promotions and dismissal decisions taken or actions executed with such power and authority.

Where required to hire a person for a Civil Service position, the most eligible person shall be selected according to set guidelines and principles. Once a person is appointed for a job, it shall be communicated to the offices by sending a “chit” by the Civil Service Commission. A copy of this chit shall be sent to the office where the position available. Offices using the software shall receive this chit through the software programmed.
Following the recruitment, each Civil Servant shall be assigned with Employment Record Card Number. As well as the communication from the Civil Service Commission or the agency delegated with the duty to the main office, the Senior Responsible Officer shall inform the same to the employee in writing.
Seeking employees and recruitment for Civil Service positions shall be done according to the book “Standards and Policies on Selecting and Appointment of Employees for Civil Service Positions” published by the Civil Service Commission.
Advertising: Advertisement for Civil Service positions shall be made according to the “Standards and Policies on Selecting and Recruitment of Employees for Civil Service Positions”. Even though all the rules for the Recruitment and Selection process are made by civil service and we don’t have any right to change the rules, but I supposed we can sort the changes or can make the upgrading to the subsequent parts.
• Train the questioners — almost everyone assumes that interviews are easy and don’t require training. But I believe is that civil service commission can conduct training to the atoll civil service senior staffs.
• Response – If we are saying that we will inform the candidates later then make sure that we do that. The candidates will be waiting for our response, therefore we need to set a goal for ourselves that we have to follow stringently. If we think that it will take some time before we can start responding to the candidates then communicate with them. Convey them that we will contact them after 3-4 working days consequently that we have the time to go through the list of the interviewee and make our preference.

HIV is a virus that gradually attacks the immune system, which is our body’s natural defense against illness. AIDS is a syndrome caused by the HIV virus. It is when a person’s immune system is too weak to fight off many infections.

I’m choosing the Service Learning Project and how it connects to the three articles. The Service Learning Project is going to talk to students are education and how its important for their future. In William Cronon’s Only Connect article is about freedom and growth in educations, and how students should have different opportunities and that they should have a say in what classes they take. Also why its important to have an education. This connects with the project that in my Service Learning Project I’m going to be talking to students about the importance of educations and how it should be your choice.
Last but not least, official recruiting system plays an important role in accepting talent people into central government. Either in the Qin or Tang dynasties, useful and thoughtful officials could be helpful to consolidate imperial power and keep government in a good condition, each dynasty had different selecting systems. I decided to apply for the Social Work master programme because after having spent the last six years working in the social services field. I have come to realise that my enthusiastic lies in helping people who are in special needs and disadvantaged. This currently takes an access to higher education to further my ambition to become a social worker. With experienced training and knowledge, I believe I can do this in a caring, supporting and meanwhile in a professional way. I have significant history working with underprivileged children and youth, especially those with a history of chronically illness.
As a Human Service major what better way to learn more about the profession than from someone who has experience in the field. I chose to interview a friend of mine, Florence Martus. Mrs. Martus is employed through the city of Fredericksburg, VA with the Department of Social Services. This agency is located at 608 Jackson St, Suite 100 Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Virginia Department of Social Services provides many services to the public such as, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Adoption, Child Care Assistance, Refugee Resettlement Service, and Child and Adult Protective Services.
The major issue over here was the knowledge skills of the staff which was already employed in the financial services sectors. Thus an extensive analysis of the employee’s qualifications was indispensible, so that all the employees which went to meet the customers should have minimum training as desired. If the employee did not have the required skills then the organization needed to establish proper training courses, so that the employee standards could be met. Thus the General Insurers a financial services organization had to reorganise the duties of employees after merger and legislative changes were brought in the company in relation to FSRA (McDonald and Jackling, n.d.).
My passion for helping and supporting those whose economic and financial standings have hindered their growth in our society, has driven me towards social work. I feel I have exhausted every possible avenue in my current degree field.
