I am from India and have watched the DDLJ movie multiple times as it is an extremely popular movie among my peers and family members. Similarities include the attire worn by the actors from both movies, in DDLJ Raj and the boys have a western inspired style because it shows their power and freedom and the women are in their traditional sarees, the brothers wear their boots and work clothes majority of the times, however they are dressed in bright colored shirts for the barn raising and so are the women who are in their pink and lighter colored dresses. How the characters treat their elders in DDLJ is very different from how it is in SBSB, the actors in DDLJ treat each elder as someone very wise and in SBSB it is a lot more carefree and everyone is considered equals. My personal impression on Bollywood is very good because I have grown up watching both Bollywood and Hollywood movies. I enjoy the cultural roots in the Bollywood films and it allows me to relate to relatives in the homeland and being able to understand the language is very useful for when I visit back home. The Bollywood movies are usually much longer than Hollywood movies as seen with DDLJ and SBSB and this can be a negative attribute, but the amount of work put into the music which is in each Bollywood movie is astounding and it gives it a unique
