Andrea Yates case is known as one of the horrifying murderer events that had happened in Texas. Also she is the most hated woman in the United States because of her cruel crime, of murdering her five children one by one in the bathtub just because she thinks that they were doomed to hell because their parents sins. Yates was treated for postpartum depression and psychosis illnesses that ran in her family, meaning that based on these facts on the mental problem that she had and her family where the reason why she murder her own children’s. Wuornos grandfather beat her and her grandmother was an alcoholic. When she was just 11 years old she started trading sexual favors for money, beer, cigarettes. She suffered through this for a few years and at the age of 14 years old, she was given up for adoption, but soon after she was kicked out of the house. During this time she was spending more time way from the house and traveling alone around the country under assumed names and living in the woods. In the early 1980’s Wuornos found out that her brother died of cancer, this is when she moved to Florida and began working as a prostitute.

The main character of 13 Reasons Why, Hannah Baker, suffers sexual assault, verbal abuse, and public humiliation in her high school years. Eventually, Hannah cannot take it anymore and she slits her wrists and dies. However, before she commits suicide she records 13 tapes, each tape made for a specific person who caused her to kill herself. She gives instructions for the tapes to be received by each of the convicted and once they are done listening, they must pass the tapes on to the next of the convicted. Hannah kills herself for attention and blames other people for her sinful actions.

The Brothers Grimm story is about a young girl named Ella that had her mother die when she was really little. She was treated like a servant and had to sleep near the fireplace every night for warmth, wake up early to cook and clean, and only had a smock to wear during the day and night. The film I decided to write about was “ The Burning Bed.” Farrah Fawcett, who is the main character in the film is a victim of domestic violence and serious past of abuse with her ex husband Paul. The Burning Bed starts off with Farrah and Paul as young adults who fell in love with one another and had three children. Shortly after being together the two had children then got married, throughout the relationship Paul abused Farrah constantly in front of family and their children. Paul’s family was completely blind to the abuse and it turned out Farrah had no one in her corner trying to help her. Over time, police reports were made and then a divorce was finally filed when she was pregnant with her third child.
