This joint venture will provide the two companies with a competitive advantage as the relationship they share is a rare one. As a result of the concerns of political instability and instability of the currency in Mexico, many businesses left Mexico. SPAFAS under CRL, however, was able to realize the economic benefits and the increasing demand and thus took advantage of the opportunity to propose a Joint-Venture with ALPES as buying it entirely was not possible. Arguably, this adds to the notion of rarity as not many other companies have done

In order to appreciate the success of a city you must first know how it was founded. Houston Texas was founded a few months after the Texas War for Independence (where colonists rebelled against the Mexican government to claim the province of Texas) in 1836 (2015, June 20). Two brothers New York City real estate promoters, J. K. and A. C. Allen, bought 6,642 acres of land from a Texas settler known as T.F.L. Parrot (2015, June 20). The Allen brothers decided to name their newly acquired land after the hero of the Texas War, General Sam Houston. Colonists began flocking to the city to be for its busy seaports and railroads, and Houston was advertised as “where 17 railroads meet the sea.”
I've already noticed that Macondo Prospect was powered by BP, making BP the most interesting company for my research. However, there are other companies that have performed operations to establish this source of oil. BP has leased the Macondo well from Transocean so we can identify Transocean as the owner of the well. BP held only 65 percent of the Macondo prospectus and we can identify the Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and MOEX Offshore as the other owners, with a 25 percent and 10 percent stake in the Macondo oil

Frustrated with the abuse they face everyday, people in the region have no choice but to protest. Multinational oil companies (MNCs) and the Nigerian government respond to these protests by public executions, restrictions placed on the rights of the people and various other abuses such as rape, and the killing of innocent civilians. These various forms of human rights violations are performed with the help of Nigerian security forces hired by multinational oil companies. Despite all the countless violations and abuses by the oil companies, the region 's inhabitants are still yet to receive a proper procedure for pressing charges and seeking justice. When the Nigerian government does come up with a plan to combat these issues, the plan usually lacks a proper procedure and cannot be maintained in the long run.
