First of all, child soldiers are treated very poorly - like machines - to perform one task: kill. So, the captors do whatever they can to train the children to kill. Ishmael Beah, once a child soldier, was rescued by the UNICEF after being a child soldier for 2 years. As a child soldier, he saw crying children shot before his eyes, and he was brainwashed and drugged into oblivion. His captors desensitized him so much that he said, “Shooting became just like a drinking a glass of water.”

U.S polices are discriminatory because of police brutality. For example, according to Katel (2016), a seventeen-year-old boy named Laquan McDonald was brutally shot sixteen times by a Chicago police officer. This explains how U.S policies are discriminatory because the police officer undoubtedly took the situation out of proportions. Additionally, the author claimed that Chicago police shot a grandmother who was unarmed and in the process critically shot a nineteen-year-old college student who was mentally unstable (Katel, 2016). This explains how U.S policies are discriminatory because shooting a grandmother who was unarmed and a mentally unstable college student is insensitive.
According to History (2015) the shootings “Harris and Klebold had carried out the shootings as retaliation for being bullied.” The statement is speculation there is no proven reason for the shooting to have occurred. With the information collected from the videos the boys made and testimonies from other students the boys had a senesce of hate for the world and spoke of hurting people. With expert speculation there was also thought of a personality disorder from signs displayed by Harris. Columbine School shooting is a perfect example of why bullying and the monitor of behavior needs to be a schools main focus for student safety.
