COMMUNICATION
Communication is simply an act of transferring information from one place to another.
Communication and flow of information is universal among all creatures living on Earth. Some creatures communicate through emotions. Dogs bark, cats meow, birds chirp but it is only humans who can speak and write.
It is possible for humans to communicate through language. However, when we speak, the information flow is limited to a very short distance. In fact the world record for shouting is less than 100m.
It has been the endeavor of mankind since time immemorial to convey the information in the shortest time possible.

People are now informed about everything of their interests with just a simple hashtag(#). Earlier the # key was mostly found in telephones to denote numbers. But now with the advent of twitter it is much more than that. Hashtag is the definitive way to group tweets of a same subject.
People use hashtag for business, politics, sport, arts, celebrity and for even telling the breaking news. The more tweets with same hashtag the faster it will start getting trending and more people will know about it.
Twitter is very different from other social networking sites. It is because of twitter only that now celebrities and fans are connected with each other. There is a personal touch in it. The information flow is really fast. People like US President Barack Obama or Indian PM Narendra Modi have so many followers that whenever they have to share any information they tweet. Their followers who number in millions get to know it in a short time and if they retweet it their followers get to know it. This in a way makes a chain and information spreads like wildfire.
It is because of twitter only that the way of journalism is done has also changed. In fact it is being said that Twitter will ring the Death Bell for main stream
With over 300 million global users and 100 million daily active users, Twitter has evolved to be the major driving force in online marketing. The platform is a major slice of social marketing mysteries for most businesses. Building a Twitter presence can be compared to when you are growing a garden. It takes planning, developing strategies and it is time consuming. Similarly, It takes time and actionable strategies and growth hacks to increase twitter engagements and followers organically.
Communication is the process of transferring of information. Viswanathan (2010) says communication can take many forms of verbal and non-verbal methods which may include speaking, writing, gestures, expressions, listening and body language to name a few. All of these things should be taken into consideration to ensure an effective means of sending and receiving information. How and what information is sent may not be received in the same manner intended.
The social media’s greatest advertising and influencing form of media is Twitter. There is no greater site or form of media than Twitter it is instantaneous. Twitter first was developed in in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass and launched in July 2006. If teens wanted to travel to any major event and tweet about the event and gave input to moments it would be beneficial to public consumers. Teens become their own news or if teens want to just tweet about anything such as something that happened in school anyone that has twitter and follows this teen will know what teen said/tweeted instantly if they are on using.
2. Interactivity The essential key to the success of social media is that they are interactive. People share their opinions and experience with others who in some way react to that information. Many social media offer options to play game with other people, take quizzes, and simply connect with other people.
Social media was created two decades ago and has developed a lot since 1997 when it had first made an appearance in the world. Before social media many people did not have a way to communicate or interact with others using electronics, everything was verbal or written. When social media first made a blogging page it became a hit as told by Small Business Trends, “In 1999, the first blogging sites became popular, creating a social media sensation that is still popular today.” Social media has made an impact in many people’s lives throughout the years. After blogging was invented, social media exploded with popularity.
Introduction: Communication is sharing process which involves expressing ideas, thoughts, feelings or sending the right message that is also being correctly received and understand by the other person/s who is receiving it on the other end. We all communicate with others in our lives. We communicate with our families, when we go shopping, at school or college or chat with friends. Communication with others is a natural part of life.
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background Over the past fifteen years, social media has advanced definitely both by they way we use it and how noticeable it is inside of our social culture. This advancement of social media has spilled over and impacted most businesses. Social media has taken the sports business to another level with regards to sports marketing and advertising, and brand sponsorships with different online networking channels like Twitter and Facebook. From the pros to the minors nearly every sports club, association, league and team has an official social media account on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
The two key topics in class in the last weeks, for me. Two of the most relevant topics developed in the last weeks were: non-verbal communication and the barriers to communication. Everytime we communicate with another person or group of people, we have to take into account some factors other than what we are actually saying that can affect how the message is going to be received: body language, tone, intonation, facial expressions, and others; this is what we understand for non-verbal communication. As we saw in class “55% of communication is body language, 38% is the tone of voice, and 7% is the actual words spoken.”

And because of the influence of social networking sites, it have been adopted by political figures.
Introduction: The process of communicating successfully with our family, friends, co-workers, business associates and people is one of the most critical skills. Communication is such a key part of life that I often tell to a person that “Its no use of someone if he/she really don’t know by associates people in their work place or area of field”. Communication makes us to be known of others, good or bad that depends on usability of a person communication. And, it is up to each of us to learn to communicate well with those who are important to us.
In society today, communication classes are highly over looked because of our new developing technology. People don’t realize how much a communication class could benefit them. We have lost sight of verbal communication skills. This class has taught me to put my phone down and communicate with others. It has opened my eyes to the real world without technology.
Twitter is a social platform where millions of users are exposed to controversial opinions. To protect its users from offensive content, it changed its policy to reduce the hateful conduct and remove the content that could be seen as a detriment. Since December 2017, Twitter has reviewed the content on public pages, checking for the truthfulness of the information provided, so that the content does not pose any chance of negative impact on its audience. However, this doesn’t extend to public figures or so-called world leaders. World leaders are well-known public figures, who captivate an audience and instigate social change.
All human beings communicate either with intention or without intention every single day. According to Barth (2014), Palo Alto Team stated “ one cannot not communicate” in one of their axioms of communication. Communication can be defined as “a social process in which individuals employ symbols to establish and interpret meaning in their environment” (Went & Turner, 2014, p. 5). It can be divided into three models in order to enhance our understanding towards the function of communication, which are mainly linear model, interactional model and transcactional model (Wood, 2009). According to Went & Turner, 2014, there are also different traditions and contexts in communication where it helps us to break down difficulty when we attempt to understand communication theory and their process.
Social media is an online service, platform or site that focuses on building and reflecting of social networks or social relations among people who share interest or activities. Some famous sites are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. The generalization of the internet makes us live conveniently and fast. We live in time where communication is possible without having to exert so much effort. We live in the time where social media is the main medium of communication.
