The Prophet (S) said, "All of you are guardians and are responsible for your wards. The ruler is a guardian and the man is a guardian of his family; the lady is a guardian and is responsible for her husband's house and his offspring; and so all of you are guardians and are responsible for your wards." Homeschooling is an ongoing movement around the world, where parents choose to educate their children at home instead of sending them to public or private schools. There are many reasons why families choose to home school their children such as dissatisfaction with the educational systems, different religious beliefs and the belief their children are not making progress in the traditional school arrangement. This movement started to grow in the 1970s, when popular authors and researchers, such as John Holt and Dorothy and Raymond Moore, start writing about the reform of education. They recommend homeschooling as another possible option for educating children. [Martin, n.d]
