Marine pollution is one of the severest problems in the world, and only a few people concern about it. It will damage the ecosystem of the ocean and finally deter the daily life of human beings. Marine pollution can be divided into nutrients, sediments, pathogens, alien species, persistent toxins, oil, plastics, radioactive substances, thermal and noise. Among these pollutions, the most dreadful is plastic pollution; the most easily forgotten is noise pollution. People should start to solve these problems by international agreement and government policies.
Ocean was polluted by plastic items. The accumulation of plastic production can ruin the habitats of halobios and ecosystem of the ocean. "By one estimate, the volume of plastic debris going

Noise causes the damage of hearing system and weakens the immune system of animals. Long-term stress will lead to their physiological and reproductive problems. For instance, a sperm whale died because of the crash of a ship. It became dull due to the noise and therefore collided which is fatal in most cases. There are also some whales which cannot stand the sound and decide to strand on the beach to commit suicide. Moreover, noise pollution can change the living habits of animals. They leave the original living area which has plenty of noise pollution and finds another place for survival. Nevertheless, it is hard to find the peaceful place to live because the noise pollution exists everywhere, so whales and other animals are homeless because they keep seeing all the time.
The method to deal with the noise pollution is to improve the equipment and to decrease the maritime trade. (Technicians)The technical program should notice the influence of the noise of the machine, and adjust the frequency to avoid similar frequency of most animals. Furthermore, to decrease the maritime trade will directly reduce the noise pollution. Plastic pollution and noise pollution are crucial to tackling with marine pollution. The international agreement and government policy can lessen plastic pollution and enhance the level of technology and diminish the number of commercial ships to deal with noise pollution. Every country should combine into integrity, and solve this problem together to build the superior
Several things are at stake from ocean pollution, and there should be a solution. The ocean gets polluted in different types of ways. It can be as innocent as a little kid throwing a water bottle into the sea, all the way to a multi-million dollar company dropping tons of waste into the
It is well known that the human population has been polluting the land and oceans for years. Usually pollution is thought of as physical pieces of garbage, harmful chemical agents, or biological pollutants. However, another form of pollution that spreads across our oceans includes noise pollution from a variety of natural and man-made sources. Natural acoustic pollution can originate from sources such as earthquakes, lightning strikes, volcanic eruptions, and noise from other organisms in the water (Weilgart 2007). Wilson et al.
(“Noise Pollution”). Noise pollution harms the manatees in numerous ways. The main way noise pollutions harm manatees is by damaging their hearing. Another way noise pollution can harm manatees is by using the sounds to change the behavior of manatees. (“Manatee vocalization usage in relation to environmental noise levels”).
The Puget Sound, home to wildlife and some of the business of this region, is dirty. Specifically, it is dirty with the toxins in people’s lives. The Puget Sound may be recovering, but it is still polluted. With people polluting the Puget Sound, people, businesses, and marine life may be harmed. The Puget Sound is polluted, largely because of people’s actions.
Nowadays debris is an integral part of humanity life. Mankind thinks about how to make the product easier and cheaper to use, but nobody cares what happens with waste after it was used. We contaminate the environment with every decade increasingly: muddied air and water, global warming are an output of human life. The worst thing is that from such attitude other living beings are dying. Millions of animals and birds cannot withstand such environmental changes; their populations become smaller and, eventually, disappear altogether from the face of the earth.
Ocean polluting has big impact on human’s health too. As those chemicals are ingested by the animals, it is not good for humans. Because we are at the end of the food chain, we consume contaminated fish and mammals. We might consume much more toxic chemicals than the sea animals. There are different types of ways that plastic is dangerous for humans.
Water Pollution is a huge environmental problem that has serious effects on marine habitats, animals, and water quality. BP1: The world's marine habitat has been getting worse because of how bad the pollution has gotten. “ Over 80% of marine pollution comes from land based activities “ (source 5 ). This quote explains how most of the water pollution is caused by human activity. “ Plastic litter does not degrade, can be expected to last in the oceans for hundreds of years “ ( source 6 ).
According to a Biological Diversity website (https://www.biologicaldiversity.org/campaigns/ocean_plastics/), the author states that “Thousands of seabirds and sea turtles, seals and other marine mammals are killed each year after ingesting plastic.” People keep littering and that littering is killing precious marine life. The level of
Imagine what happens if we keep on polluting our planet? What happens to our future generation? Since plastic takes years to biodegrade, if we keep polluting our environment with plastic, then our future generation will suffer from the environment around them. It also means that plastic and other trash will continue polluting the ocean, which can cause thousands of sea animals to go extinct, providing us with less source of food. Not only sea animals, but animals all over the world might extinct or become endangered because of pollution.
For instance, stress could lead to stress-induced gastrointestinal problems, irritable bowel syndrome, acidity, acid reflux, insomnia, depression, heart disease. Moreover, stress could push the victim toward high risk behaviour such as smoking, drinking, and substance abuse. Stress-related illness led to increase in absenteeism and attrition affecting the profitability of the organizations. (Kumar & Rooprai, 2009) Stress can be triggered by the pressures of everyday responsibilities at work and at home. Traumatic stress, brought on by war, disaster, or a violent attack, can keep your body’s stress levels elevated far longer than is necessary for survival.
While researching about how pollution affects sea turtles, we faced some issues on finding different types of pollution. As most people know, the plastic waste that is being dumped into the oceans and onto the beaches is becoming a main food source for sea turtles. When sea turtles see this trash, they consume the plastic causing death or severe sickness which has caused this species to become endangered. They also get tangled with the plastic in the ocean restricting them from normal movement and function. During our research, we found that there are more types of pollution affecting sea turtles than just plastic waste in the ocean.
Plastic pollution in the ocean Introduction Rachel L. Carson said in her book “Water, soil, and the earth´s green mantle of plants make up the world that supports the animal life of the earth” (63). In other words, our planet was always a place which was dominated by nature and it had essential relations between plants and other plants and between plants and other animals (Carson, 1962). Since the modern human started to conquer the world a lot of things have changed and technology has taken over. My essay is about a quite new but very big problem which affects our wonderful planet; it is about plastic in the ocean.
However, it still cannot avoid some issues such as the piracy and terrorist issues. Besides that, the increasing of the ships and other maritime related activity will bring the issue of the environmental pollution issue. It will bring the threats of maritime pollution because of the accidental spills, illegal dumping of waste, and so on. As well as, that will influence the health of the human and organism inside the sea. Therefore, to address maritime security concern requires international efforts.
Pollution is the introduction or release of substances or energy that decrease the quality of the marine environment. Many pollutants are toxic of harmful to marine life (Castro and Huber, 2010). South Africa is known around the world for being one of the most diverse marine environment in the world, with 83% of the known fish families residing in South Africa (Van der Elst, 2007). There are also many marine species that are endemic to South Africa, which means they are only found in South Africa. Almost 30% of the South African population lives on the coastline (Taljaard et al. 2006), which has led to the urbanization of the coastlines and which then led to the industrialization of these areas.
Most of the waste produced on land is either intentionally or unconsciously discharged into the oceans. Marine pollution and aquatic debris can utterly destroy the oceans causing extinction of the marine creatures. Innovative techniques should be implemented in the law to prevent the marine environment from any further damage. In order to improve the marine environment, the government and the Environment Public Authority of Kuwait should take immediate actions that can influence the society and help in minimizing aquatic debris and pollution. Aquatic littering and marine pollution can be caused by a number of different sources.
