I Endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States It is no use trying to sum people up. One must follow hints, not exactly what is said, nor yet entirely what is done. Virginia Woolf The day has finally arrived, and there’s no easy way to say this: I decided to endorse Donald Trump as candidate for President of the United States.
A second article reports, “US President Donald Trump’s unsettling narrative about the construction of a wall between the US and Mexico, ostensibly to stop illegal Mexican immigrants from reaching the US, has proven to be horribly portentous. Today’s uneasy political climate is very much on the minds of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans who make up 11.1 percent of the US population, or an estimated 35.8 million people.” (Nkrumah 1).
We may be “one nation, under God” but, in my opinion, we will always be in an overstuffed pot that will never fully melt. Although the founding father’s opinion of America in Rights of Man is correct on the underlying facts of our country coming together as one nation, his characterization of America somewhat holds true today in modern society based on our current politics and social ideals. First, there is little doubt that the United States of America is an immigrant society. All of our ancestors were immigrants. Foreigners come to the United States in hope of a more sophisticated lifestyle for themselves and their family.
The wall goes against human rights because it slows the flow of illegal, but suffering immigrants who would later become citizens of the United
In Donald Trump’s political campaign he represents Sapir-Whorf hypothesis by the language he uses. Trump believes that if he uses his own language he will be able to gather a majority of votes, for example, by repeating the phrase “Make America Great Again” it will get the audience to think. In the article by Christopher M. Livaccari says that everyone should choose words carefully because “Words in different languages cover different ranges of meaning…” which refers to how people have different connotative meaning to one word.
Some argue that attempting to overthrow Assad could prompt military conflict with Russia, who backs Assad due to its belief that the only way to defeat ISIS is to team up with him (McDonald & Moser, 2016c). While this is a valid concern, if the ground troops first achieve the goal of dismantling ISIS’s military and then focus on overthrowing Assad, Russia’s reason for backing Assad will be gone and it will have no reason to retaliate. Others argue that this war is not in the best interest of the United States as a community because it will inevitably lose another war due to lack of international and domestic support, which can lead to other countries doubting its military and political strength. (Simon & Stevenson, 2015). The US would not face any opposition from the international community because many countries are also against ISIS.
People don 't want him to be president because he brags about his net worth. For example it says one of Donald Trump 's favorite arguments in favor of Donald Trump is that his business success makes him perfectly suited for the oval office. His brags about his net worth his negotiating skill and his contracts overseas. I disagree with Donald Trump he should not brag about his net worth or people won 't like him. Thus , I disagree with Donald Trump.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt: An Economic Savior The great president Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “The point in history at which we stand is full of promise and danger. The world will either move forward toward unity and widely shared prosperity - or it will move apart” (“Roosevelt Quotes”). He said that we will either make great strides as a nation or fall dramatically. This means that America was in a state of great despair, and something needed to be done about it or everything would collapse worldwide.
Immigration reform should mean something else entirely. It should mean improvements to our laws and policies to make life better for American citizens. Thank you. But if we 're going to make our immigration system work, then we have to be prepared to talk honestly and without fear about these important and very sensitive issues. For instance, we have to listen to the concerns that working people, our forgotten working people, have over the record pace of immigration and it 's impact on their jobs, wages, housing, schools, tax bills and general living conditions.
The Necessity and Benefit of Immigration to the United States A controversial topic in today’s politics is the state of immigration in America. While public opinion is generally positive, politicians continue to disagree over the necessity of immigration, and the approaches which can be taken to create a successful body of immigration policies. Thomas Jefferson, however, was certain that immigration would allow the United States to grow and thrive if handled in a way that made the system beneficial to the United States as a whole. The DREAM Act and Immigration in America
People should not build Donald Trump 's tantrum wall. Trump wants to build a wall on the Mexican border to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States. His idea of building this wall is very unrealistic. When asked how he would build a 1,900 miles long wall on CNBC, "Trump stated, very easy. I 'm a builder."
Why have we doubted Donald Trump? We all think differently, and have different opinions. Donald has set a great goal in the U.S. He is trying to protect us, support, and comfort us. Give him a chance, or consider giving him a chance.
Our current president believes airstrikes are sufficient in the battle against terrorism. While some people disagree with just the airstrikes, more Americans believe sending ground troops will just end in disaster. Donald Trump wants to send in ground troops, he “wants to take away their wealth” (Donald Trump 2015). This opens another debate if Donald Trump is qualified to be president in the first place. Donald Trump has no background in politics, and Americans are frightful of another candidate becoming president that has hand no background in
The people who are against immigration want it to get rid of it or they want it to be extremely limited in our country. One person who talked about how limiting immigration and stopping people from coming to the United States is a good change for us is David Goldman. In his article “President Trumps Immigration Ban is Magnificently Right” Goldman says that Trumps 90-day travel ban is “callous towards individual Muslims but merciful to American citizens, who have the right to go about their business without fear of mass terrorist attacks.” (Paragraph 3).
and he wants the world to know. That could be devestating for the many women, Latinos, African Americans, Muslims, and other minorities in the United States, not to mention extremely offensive. The world is evolving to become more open to many things that it wasn’t years ago, and we need an open-minded liberal candidate- not someone narrow-minded and conservative, to run our country.
