College is too expensive for the majority of the population of the United States. If college was free, it would let people explore their horizon, and have an easier time finding a desirable career. College has been proven to be effective, and even shown to have been working in the united states for over 100 years.
There are many debates on whether colleges should be tuition-free or not. As some people support the idea that tuition free colleges are advantageable, many believe otherwise. Students attending college should have the chance to go tuition-free rather than pay for expenses needed. Public colleges should be free as it will decrease the high rates of student debt, provide accessible care for living situations, and sanction a better opportunity to go to college. While people view tuition-free colleges to be more costly rather than cheap, it is safe to say that tuition-free colleges support those who are struggling with debt.
Having free tuition for college means that more people who cannot afford it now, would end up going. This is a good thing in terms that more people are getting a good education and continuing their educational careers to hopefully obtain good job, but it also decrease the value of a college education.
