If you had to kill your best friend even if it was for their own good, could you do it? The main character George Milton has to make this difficult decision in John Steinbeck’s novel Of Mice and Men. George cares for the mentally handicap Lennie and George in trouble but this time it went too far. George should have killed Lennie so he wouldn’t go in an institution, Curley would have been cruel, and George gave him a peaceful death.
