Have you ever had gum and tried to hide it by sticking it under a desk. Or maybe even choked on it when trying to hide it from a teacher or fellow classmate who might snitch. Many people will disagree with the fact that gum might help students learn. They are caught up on the negative reasons and downsides to having gum in a classroom or even on school grounds. They aren’t looking at the reasons gum may help students in classrooms study, learn, and excel in their usual environment.
Chewing gum has always been against school rule ,but it is time for that to change. Schools should give students the right to chew gum and this project will provide concepts as to why. It is actually proven to help children academically. The infinite amount of individuals who are oblivious to the advantages of gum is nonsense. Some schools say it’s too unhealthy for their students so they provide just the school food because it’s healthy and nutritious. Other schools do allow their students to drink soda and candy because their students often crave different things instead of just school food. Through my perspectives I say we should not ban soda and candy. I say we shouldn’t ban soda and candy because us students do crave it.
In some schools, however, it is left up to the teachers to decide the rules. Most schools seem to think it is a bad habit to let students chew gum as some students can be irresponsible with gum. However, in middle school I think we should look at the rules closer. As a result, negative behavior and different emotions can be the outcome of children drinking soda. Mark Twain writes about many questionable subjects but does so as a satire which makes it slightly more acceptable. Huck has good morals and is very openminded.
Most kids think that taking away devices would be a horrible idea because they “need” to check their account or that they simply need to do school work. The internet is not good for school work because kids could easily get distracted by pop ups, ads, videos, music, or anything else the internet could throw their way. For example, a kid could be working on quizlet and then an ad pops up for candy crush, that would intimidate the kid to click the ad and forget about what they were working on. Or mabey an ad pops up for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Target, bye-bye schoolwork. A lot of kids might say some video games are active, for example Just Dance.
