It would affect the farmers and crops and vegetables that come from our local farmer could be coming in late to our local stores. There is no equality; there are twelve months and ten months are spent during the school year and school is already long enough and students deserve a break. They are working ten out of twelve months and complaining they get too much homework from each class and it takes over their two day weekend (Saturday and Sunday), then they don’t get anything to do on their time. Therefore the TDSB shouldn’t switch to a year around school schedule because they would cause too much trouble for students and families (farmers). So the TDSB shouldn’t switch to a year around school
Students that are in school during the summer find it harder to concentrate on the work that they are doing in school because they are waiting to get out of school into the nice weather. Year round schools make it difficult to learn with many breaks that they are given which can affect them negatively in and out of school. Year round schools should give long breaks instead of many little breaks because it is shown that there is no difference in learning between year round schools and traditional schools. During 2011-2012 about 3,700 schools were all year round schools and these schools didn’t benefit students and teachers in all good ways. In 2007, a study by Ohio State University found that there is no learning differences between a year round school schedule and a traditional school schedule.
School shouldn’t raise the dropout age because at age 18 people are an adult, parents don’t see truancy as an issue, and don’t have enough money to support their kids in higher education. There are many kids in the U.S that don’t have money to go to school. For
Randy’s guardians are not giving Randy enough attention, direction, discipline, and how to treat others. This lack of discipline could be from not enough time being spent with the child during the days and so just giving into whatever they want to please them. Randy goes from school in the morning to child care right after school until 6pm everyday. Children whose parents show uninvolved parenting styles are the worst off. Their parents lack of involvement disrupts their emotional development considerably, leading them to feel unloved and emotionally detached and impedes their cognitive development as well (Feldman
I had been homeschooled my entire school career, but after a lot of failing tests and crying, my mom decided it would be best if I tried public school. I was not into the idea at all. I thought that those public school kids would destroy me, they knew so much more than I did, (Not true) and had so much more social experience (Also not true). I had been going to church activities for my entire life, and my parents made it a point to sign me up for weekend painting camps, and classes at the rec center. Yet it was nothing compared to the 6+ hours these kids have been at school every day.
The Search In November of 2004, I was hired, as the Special Education Teacher/Disabilities, by the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Head Start Program, fresh out of college with some experience substituting in the local school districts. The Special Education Department for Head Start was nonexistence and shared the Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist with their Daycare Program or services were contracted out to other companies. However, the services were often limited to specific hours and days of the week. Head Start found that the needs of the students were not being met and evaluations were not completed in a timely manner and personnel change frequently. Head Start began working on hiring a full time Occupational
Introduction I don't think student like having a year round school year schedule for one because there summer is cut short and that is not good and i know student don't like that there summer is cut short .Also i don't think that teachers would like to spend their summer at school with student because of there having to go to school because of the school schedule and they can't spend time with their family and friend like they want to because of there year round schedule .That's why schools shouldn't be year round but people have there own opinions . Attention grabber: Hey guys !!! do you like having a year round schedule or a traditional schedule to me i thought u would say tradition schedule other than a year round schedule school year Bridge Sentence: If there was another way that some schools would change their school from year round i sure would vote for that cause i kind of know how they feel cause it isn't fun i have to go thru that in elementary school and middle school as well. That most people today are still wanting schools to be year round but some are not still not wanting schools to be year round. What the other side says; yeah but paragraph.some people think that making schools year round would be a bad idea. For example like from districts and schools that have implemented it and those that have abandoned it, as well as through studies of participants'
Now these scenarios do not come up every couple years; they come up almost every couple weeks or months. This would make adjusting to the public school or any school at all nearly impossible for any child. Even if they were to adjust in such a short time period, they would need to do so again as soon as the moved a couple weeks
The problem with that was I did not know how long it would take to update the computers and I had to pick up my daughter before the daycare closed at 5:30 P.M. I attempted to update the computers when they took the students out to conduct an exercise. SFC Joe Smith came into the classroom where I was conducting the computer updates cussing and screaming. I tried to explain to him that if I conducted the updates as he requested I would be late picking up my daughter from the daycare. He did not
Superintendents are typically reluctant to call a snow day for a number of reasons. Parents of school-age children may struggle to make child-care arrangements when schools close unexpectedly. Massachusetts law requires all schools to provide 180 days of instruction. When schools close too often during the winter, instructional days must be added to the calendar in June. Because the state’s standardized tests are administered in the spring, snow days also reduce the amount of instructional time that schools have to prepare students for the
It was good idea to change the Wyandotte attendance policy, if students miss more than seven days in the last semester because most people don’t come school in their senior years. One reason that Wyandotte attendance policy should change because students will fail in their classes. Another reason that Wyandotte’s attendance policy should change because students don’t know what they learn in their classes if they did not come school. The last reason was that it’s hard for students when they went to college because they don’t know anything. In conclusion, if students did not come school in their senior years than it will be really bad for them and also they are not allowed to come in graduation
