Smoking Should Be Banned in Public Places
The only difference between a smoker and a suicide is that one takes longer to kill himself than the other. Smoking cigarette is one of the most dangerous things one can do to himself. It is not only a leading road to lung cancer or cardiovascular diseases, but the road to death. Although people have been smoking in public places thinking, it is my body and my personal choice, but recently it has been proven that cigarette damage health, create risks for non-smokers, and destroy the environment. In fact, smoking around people admitting it as your own choice is wrong because you are making a choice of damaging others’ health with yours which is not fair. Therefore, it is safe to conclude that smoking should be outlawed in all public places, nationally.
The first reason why smoking in the public places should be banned is that smoking is a danger to non-smokers health through the secondhand smoke (SHS). Secondhand smoke is the smoke that comes from the burning end of a cigar and is breath out by a smoker. When someone breathes this smoke it can be just as harmful as actually smoking because it can cause lung cancer and heart attacks in adults who do not smoke. Taking serious measures to avoid this global catastrophe can only be done through close coordination between the government, business owners and general public. Thus, giving in to the fact it is the ride to death but one still does not give up smoking, surely is an insane and extremely consequential decision. Although the opponents oppose by saying banning smoking in public areas means violating their choice of freedom which is true. On the other hand, we must take into consideration that a smoker is opposing the decision of the non-smokers and injuring their health by exhaling
