Why are people so worried about how much money a professional athlete makes? So many people are worried about how much money a professional athlete make, they say why doesn’t it go two someone in need or why don’t teachers make more money, they are teaching our future generation. Yes teachers may be teaching owner future, and yes there are servicemen putting their lives on the line, but these athletes aren’t regular athletes. Professional athletes have trained and sacrificed ever since they were little kids play youth sports to become who they are today.
All branches of the military don 't make more than just an average professional athlete. I am not saying soldiers should be paid millions but shouldn 't but that much underpaid to a athlete. These soldier risk their lives everyday and most of the time when they come back from duty still can 't find a job. As to these athletes who could only play for two years and be set for life.
The Last Meow Persuasive Essay Americans now are spending way too much money on their pets. In our society, people nowadays are going overboard on what they consider necessary for their animals. People are spending money in the thousands just for their pets to have a few more months of agony and pain. Some people even care more about their animals over their own family.
Do you think Pro Athletes are getting paid too much to just play a game, or do you think they are getting paid just enough? Surgeons are making under half of what pro athletes are making and one of the poorest places in the world are orphanages, so do you think that pro athletes should be paid over millions of dollars a year? I think that they should be paid a little less than what they are getting now. Orphanages are one of the most poorest places in the world. While Pro athletes are making loads of money are spending it all on cars and big houses, they could be donating it to people who need it.
I think that paying student should happen because if we get paid we have more motivation to do the work and have more reasons to do better. Every year 1.2 million people drop out of school because of no motivation. Plus if we save up we can pay for college. If we have motivation we have more control of our grades.
Do college athletes throw their bodies away so programs can succeed and benefit? College athletes put more into the school than regular students. College athletes should be paid for playing because the sport they are participating in is essentially their job, they have no time to do any other activity because it will interfere with their schedules. Another reason I believe this is because of the profit the school makes off of the players. If you or your child was an athlete giving your all to a school and you were still struggling financially to where you can barely take care of yourself would you believe in paying them then?
Since professional athletes are not necessary for a society to function, they should not be paid more than teachers. Teachers should be paid a lot more than they actually do since they are teaching this children who are growing up and helping these students achieve their hopes and dreams. Teachers are actually highly underpaid for what they do. Teachers are basically the map to the future. Another writer insisted in her article, “These Athletes make millions for just playing a game, teachers are working 7 days a week, grading papers and teaching kids new subjects while athletes make millions of dollars for a game…”
True, but to be a student athlete is a tough ‘job’ to manage with going from the field to the library day in and day out: “Players are essentially working full-time football jobs while going to school; they deserve to be paid more than a scholarship” (Gregory). A scholarship isn’t just enough for these hard-working players who get rewarded with nothing at the end of the day. They often get a scholarship with the package, but that doesn’t cover all the expenses that come with college. Think of a college game that people attend often. Think of the money they’ve spent on the ticket(s), the food, the drinks, and even some souvenirs.
Some say that they deserve this, and you may as well. But, before you defend your favorite athlete, think about this. Who works incredibly hard teaches our youth? Who puts their life on the line and fights for our country in Afghanistan? Who keeps us safe from crime?
Many people think that soldiers in the military should make more money than sports players. In this essay,I will be authorizing the statements and facts of what i believe. One reason why i think soldiers should get more money because they put their life on the line, they don’t have to,but they do. I do not agree on sports players getting more money than soldiers. According to the internet, sports players make $5.15 million dollars per year and soldiers make $1,531.50 dollars per month.
A Response to “Do Professional Athletes Get Paid Too Much Money?” The thesis of this article is that professional athletes make way too much money for simply entertaining the public. Men and women in the military, who get paid very little, sacrifice their lives everyday and never know if they will get to see their families again, while professional athletes get paid substantially more to throw a ball in a hoop. Some athletes also take drugs or steroids, which is an awful example to teach our children, which could be the professional athletes of the future.
When instead they could be paying their players who are generally making most of the money. Because people buy tickets to watch the players play not to just give the college money or to come watch the coach. The coaches make millions of dollars and get credited for the success of the players. Which isn 't fair because the
The title of Steve Almond’s book, “Against Football: A Fan’s Reluctant Manifesto” speaks to the intent behind the book. I like that Almond comes forth and announces that this book is going to make a case against the game but also admits that he is a fan. The irony of this title along with “reluctant manifesto” sheds light on the type of writer Almond is and how he feels about the message he is about to deliver. He wants his reader to understand that there are ethical problems with the game, and as a fan it is hard for him to be completely honest but difficult or not, he will deliver the truth in it’s entirety. I like the way that Almond introduces himself in the preface.
