Many health and safety experts say that “some sports are too dangerous and should either banned or strictly regulated”. More and more research is currently being discovered about the impact sports can have on individuals, causing health and safety experts wanting to eliminated or strictly regulate sports, but many people who play sports are upset by this because by creating restrictions, changes the dynamic of the sport. Sports should not be eliminated or strictly regulated because it changes how the sport is played; however, there should be safety restrictions put in place, especially for children who don’t know the lasting effect. In many sports, such as boxing, safety can be a critical health problem because it is a physical sport. If too many restrictions were put in place , it would change the dynamic of the sport. For example, in football tackling is a significant part of the game, if the tackling was taken out, the exhilaration of the sport would be lost and many people’s passion for football would be lost as well. Sports can come with health risks, but the problem is not the sports — the problem is the aggression that some people have in these sports and also the safety risks, primarily in children’s sports. When regulations are out in place to help prevent aggression, it will create a safer environment for athletes. Children/teens do not realize how crucial their safety is for their developing bodies, and how sports can have a lasting health affect on them. If safety restrictions are put in place, gradually allowing as they get older to use the physical contact in the sport, it will protect them and allow them to still play the sport.
