Highschool students in their last year have lots of choice to continued their career. Not only direct education to college but also several choices like taking gap year, find a job, try to start business and something else. In most countries took gap year become pop culture among young people. Taken the Gap Year by students before attendence at college is not new phenomenon but attracted lots of media which created impression rocked the world like fashion or powerful trend.
These are some reasons among students in high school why they want take Gap Year after graduated from high school rather than direct to enter college. First, it’s like a fashion, every students in high school was taking one so why not to choose gap year. Second, many students feeling fed up because twelve years they spend in school just sitting in classroom in that monotone atmosphere made them felt burned out. Since then, almost 4,000 people have been able to scale the mountain, but over 230 people have not been able to climb it successfully. Academic theories have been debated for years on what’s ethical and unethical. One of the things that is still being debated is on redshirting. Redshirting is when a child has been held back a year from starting school so the child can reach the parents expectation of maturity. It has been debated on whether or not this gives you more success. Redshirting doesn’t give an individual more or less success in life, it doesn’t last more than the first few years of schooling, it pushes the children who weren’t redshirted to learn at levels for kids a year older than them, and the kids who were redshirted won’t be pushed hard enough in their schooling.
