Every semester that I’ve been enrolled at in Sierra Community College, I have been a full-time student, taking twelve or more units per semester. Intentionally, my plan for 2015 was to take four classes for this fall semester at Sierra College, however I was suddenly presented with an internship called Thrive Leadership School, an intense nine-month discipleship and leadership development program for college students. The internship develops both leadership skills and communication qualities. I chose to take this opportunity to discover whether a Communication Degree is what I truly see myself pursuing in the future. This program requires a 40+ hour internship, which is why they necessitate enrolling in online classes. Due to the requirements
In the article, “Some Teens Start College Work Early Via Dual Enrollment” written by Joanne Jacobs, from the U.S. News and World Report Education, discussed a current path that most high schoolers are taking that will lead them to college success. Jacobs uses ethos and logos to prove the successfulness of the Dual Enrollment Program. The program offers students the opportunity to experience college life, to gain both high school and college credit, and to gain confidence. In most states, high school students who want to take a college class need to attend the class in a community college with regular undergraduates.
This is Kacy Norton from the Mental Health Field. We met a couple of weeks ago to discuss my credits and certain courses I should take in order to graduate within the next two years. During the meeting you informed me that summer classes are a good way to stay ahead and are recommended so I 'm not overloaded with work during my practiucm or internship. Due to my summer schedule the only available class I could is take is COU 515-
My choice of a future in the Human Resources Industry came from my meticulous skills in organization and planning as well as my leadership abilities. I have devoted a large amount of my high school career practicing these traits as a Social officer of the Deer Park High School’s Deer Escorts. My course load, including three college-credited classes, and commanding role on my drill team has taught me the necessary characteristics of punctuality, self-discipline and notability needed to function not only in the continuation of education but also in my career path. Although I remain a high school student, I have acquired the feel of college and the essentials needed to be successful through the three dual-credit classes I have engaged in, in the duration of my junior and senior year of high school. I feel as though these classes differ from high school courses because they are more rigorous and require one to be self-disciplined and prompt with their
Brenau University is a well-known school for its academics and sports. The all-girl university has many sports like soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and swimming and cross country. The standards to play in this particular private school are high and the coaches have high expectations. I ran in cross country, but I didn’t qualify for full tuition scholarship in college. I have many classmates that played a sport in high school and didn’t get a scholarship.
What do I have to gain from the Capital Semester Internship? That question can be answered by displaying what I can contribute as a participant in the Capital Semester Internship. As a senior and a Psychology and African American Studies major at Virginia Commonwealth University, a student worker, and an avid volunteer, I make a strong candidate for the Capital Semester Internship. My research interests which are a combination of psychology and social justice, my career goals that will utilize psychology to influence public policy, and my willingness to learn more about government on a local, state, and national level will help to enrich my experience in Virginia’s legislative branch of government this upcoming semester.
One experience I think that has helped me prepare for the role of an Apprentice is my present job; this job has allowed me to work directly with both students and teachers in a school setting. This experience has allowed me to learn about school culture, creating curriculums around teamwork and has most of all allowed me to learn how to build rapport with students based of their interest and needs. Another experiences I have had that I think makes me a great candidate for this apprenticeship opportunity is being apart of the inaugural class of Guttman Community College. The reason why I make this claim is because being apart of this community taught me to take initiative, because there was no clubs and no platform furthermore, as inaugural

I think I would be a good candidate to attend the Summer Senior program because my goal to attend USC after graduating from high school. This opportunity will allow me to experience life as a college student, while learning to navigate through the admissions process at USC. Being a part of the Summer Seniors program will help me to learn what it takes to be a successful student, prepare me substantially in my transition from being a high school student to a college student and help me discover what Carolina has to offer. The Summer Senior program will also help me to decide if this is the right path for me. I will develop and build upon my networking skills while meeting new peers who share the similar interests.
North.session1.reflection I attempted taking business coarsest at a online secular college while trying to be a team owner operator with my husband hauling oversized Frieght with my husband. That seemed to me at the time like it would be a piece of cake. Well between just not having the available required free time, and having the steady required internet connection, I had way too many other demands and distractions, and I was bottom line, spreading myself too thin and shorting myself the necessary time to really study and apply myself as much as I thought I would be able to, which in turn, became extremely overwhelming and discouraging. To top it all off, my mother and my husband’s both, health took a turn for the worst which added to my responsibilities, as well as
Upon beginning my first class at Walden University, it has been difficult to see myself getting through this 8-week course. Furthering my education has been something I have struggled to accomplish for the last 4 years. I almost decided to give up and continue being just a high school teacher. However, being a senior teacher that motivates my students to go above an beyond to reach their goal has pushed me to work hard and start a new journey. Though it is only the beginning of my journey, I can see graduation.
As a member of the TRiO program at Polk State College in Lakeland, FL, I have been encouraged students to keep with the education in college and help them with their assignments. When I saw a student having troubles with a topic in mathematic or chemistry, I address to the student(s), and I offer them a help or any advice that they could need. Constantly, I was working to improve my communicate skills to give a friendly, clear and professional information of the program or any other topic related to the education system at Polk State College. Usually, I took the initiative to talk with the student(s) about the multiples opportunist and helps that exist in the program, such as personal tutor, support in class with his/her assignments, and a

I highly enjoy delving into biology- I love the classes, reading its applications, and researching what the career is like. Thinking narrowly, participating as an SIP intern gives me a chance to spend my summer well.
