The similarities between two legendary icons, William Wallace and Beowulf. These heroes are celebrated for their heroism, bravery, and determination in extremely hard times. Their stories have been passed down through different traditions and have inspired countless varieties of books, movies, and stories. These two stories have kept relevance and are still being told hundreds of years later by people all over the world. It may not seem like they are similar, but taking a closer look, the stories are similar in more ways than one. A major similarity between Beowulf and William Wallace is how passionate they are to what they are fighting for. Beowulf and William both risked their lives countless times for their people. They showed no mercy when in combat, which shows how much they really cared and wanted their country safe and free. In the movie Bravehart, William Wallace was being tortured infront of an intire town and still would not back down or give up, leading to his death. Beowulf lived in a world with mosnters and dragons and fought many supernatural creators such as grendrel, Grendels mom, and a dragon which lead to his death.William Wallace on the other hand fought against the english, who were trying who steal the Scottish peoples rights, not monsters and dragons .Beowulfs fights were mythical and fiction while William Wallaces fights were very real and couldve happened in real life, His fights had political importance.
