The land of Hades, or the land of the dead, is another place they travel to. Throughout all of the places they went, Odysseus expects his men to follow him whether he is doing right or wrong. Hamlet felt like nobody was supporting him after his father died and with no support comes no advice. Hamlet was also dealing with a lot of emotions that are hard to deal with not to mention control. Hamlet was all so feeling betrayal in all of his relationships as stated before. Hamlet’s mother moved on to Claudius so fast (less than two months) that Hamlet thought she didn’t love his father the way he thought while growing up or maybe she only married him to stay queen. Then Claudius tells Hamlet to move on and that mourning for this long is unmanly and he should move on because everybody dies.

Telemachus “...inherit[s] trouble and pain…” (Homer, 9) from the loss of his father. Odysseus’ absence leaves Telemachus empty and without one of his parents needed to guide him through life.

His three murderers had no reason at all to sight the innocent man and decide to target him for slaughter, at the drop of a hat. There were forty casualties throughout the Civil Rights Movement.

In the novel All Quiet On The Western Front, Paul Baumer represents the “Lost Generation” with Paul embodying the decline of the young sent to war under the guise of duty and honor propagated by teachers and parents as his character changes from a sensitive nineteen year old boy to be worn, apathetic soldier who has seen the violent front lines of the war. In the novel All Quiet On The Western Front, Paul Baumer has been in war for months now sitting in the trenches of the front. His hatred for the war is obvious as he watches men killed in the most of horrendous ways cursing at himself for not feeling anything and becoming an ‘animal’. The war was only made more damaging when Paul and his fellow schoolmates witness the death of their friend, Behm, the first week of war after he was left for
Brutus said, “Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men?”, along with “But, as he was ambitious, I slew him,” in his speech to the many people questioning the reason for Caesar’s death. Unfortunately the people followed him like sheep and believed what he had to say. It didn’t take much for these people to be convinced that a great man turned bad making his death justified. It just goes to show how true the quote really is. The people, who once loved Caesar greatly, instantly forgot all he has done to help Rome and just accepted the lies.
