King Peggy: Similarities Of A Strong Woman
One similarity that King Peggy and Michelle Obama have is strong individuals. King Peggy is a strong woman because in the book, King Peggy and Kwame Lumpopo had a discussion about why King Peggy was chosen to be the new king. And Kwame Lumpopo told her that the only reason why she is the new king is because she is a woman and they can get over on her and so she can do what they say. For example, “Uncle Moses cried.” You are just a woman! You are supposed to listen to men, to do what we say! Why do you think we chose you as king?” when king Peggy heard uncle Moses say that she felt hurt, but at the same time it just made her want to change the way things were in Otuam even more and that made her be a stronger woman to the men there in Otuam.. Michelle Obama empowers about being strong because she can handle any situation that comes her way. Michelle Obama knows how to deal with awkward situations and dealing with racism. Being that she is the first African American lady of the United States she became a stronger woman when it comes to the public eye. She is a strong woman because there is a lot of pressure being that she is the first lady and a lot respect that comes with it. Even the days when Michelle Obama is not doing well she still stands up to be a strong woman. For example, Michelle Obama stands up to anyone and show people how she is strong and how she can handle and fix any problem that is throw at her.
