Everyone has their own similarities and differences in their own ways. In the novel Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements, Bobby and Alicia have their own extreme similarities and differences. Bobby and Alicia both have similarities because they both have a major setback and their mothers surprisingly went to the same college and majored in the same courses. These characters also have differences as an example, Alicia was popular at school and Bobby was not. Next Alicia acts very mature unlike Bobby. Bobby and Alicia have specific differences but first off they have two similarities such as having a horrible problem and their mom’s went to the same college and have the same majors. Two similarities between Bobby and Alicia is that they both have
Similarities include attitude towards life and school. Difference include friendships and conformity. One way
Many things have the same things in common, but also things that are different about one another. For instance Will Kane in the movie "High Noon" is a man who is very brave, but scared at the same time because of something he has done. Also in the book "The Most Dangerous Game" Rainsford is brave, but scared because of something he had no part of. " High Noon" and "T.M.D.G." are both similar and different at the same time.
One similarity that have in common that they were both slaves. I know this because in the first article "Wesley Harris: An Account of Escaping Slavery." and the second article "An Account from the Slave Trade: Love story of Jeffrey and Dorcas" states that they are slaves. The next thing they both have in common is that both men suffered consequences. Jeffrey suffered by standing up for his true love but she did not get sold with him because the owner only needed one and she had a family of 5.
Indeed, the majority of what I found was differences. However, Rudy and I experienced similar obstacles that define each identity. First of all, isn’t it seems obvious that because two people have only couple characteristics in common and held the majority of differences, this two person is not alike? At first, I believed that this statement is true because if two distinct people have characteristics not in common, then they should encounter a different kind of obstacles and grew up differently. This could be said to Rudy and me.
Another example of how they are similar is the way the authors have one main character who wants to make a difference in the laws. For example in “Harrison Bergeron” Harrison, one of the main characters is against everyone being equal and he tries to change things by breaking out of jail and going on the news live and taking off all of his handicaps and calling himself the “Emperor” and fining a girl who will stand with
For example, a lot of Jeffrey Dahmer's actions are similar to those of notorious serial killer John Wayne Gacy. Dahmer and Gacy had similar childhoods in the way that they didn't have role model father figures and they were not nurtured or taught moral values. Dahmer and Gacy felt a need to have power over men because of the lack of power they felt in childhood at the hands of men. Jeffrey Dahmer was neglected as a child and he didn't feel like he had the power to make his father stay. Causing him to have deep issues with men leaving him and him craving an emotional connection.
Back in the 1800’s there were 2 people who had a lot in common and they were also different in many ways. Their names were Harriet Tubman and Abraham Lincoln. Both Lincoln and Tubman are similar in many ways. They were both depressed at times, told yarns (or funny stories), and they both had nicknames. They were also hated by certain people at one time of their life, they also lead special events, the pair were stressed at times.
The book Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements, is about a 15 year old boy, Bobby Phillips. One typical Tuesday morning he went to take a shower as usual. That’s when he realized he was invisible, when he couldn’t see himself in his mirror. Bobby told his parents quickly. His mom, a literature professor and his dad, a physicist, both try to figure out how this could have happened to their son, but have no clue where to start searching for the solution to what seems like an impossible problem.
The first similarity the two characters share is their personal growth during the novel. At the beginning of the novel, Novalee was homeless, jobless, and pregnant, with no idea what she would do. Throughout the
While the similarities are smaller, like the considerate personalities shared between the main characters of both
They were both going to California from New York. Another similarity is that they both had an accident. They had it at just around the same time. The last thing they had in common was that they both were going a bit crazy and didn 't have enough sleep due to the thought of the hitchhiker.
They are similar because they are close to the same age,and they are both
Some similarities one of them is that Krystina Chiger and Pavle Fredman are both Jewish. Another one is Krystina Chiger and Pavle Fredman were in the ghetto and Holocaust. I know Krystina Chiger and Pavle Fredman were in the Holocaust and ghetto because Krystina had to escape and Pavle was forced to live in the ghetto and he died. Next, they both wanted freedom from the
Everyone has interesting and fascinating differences. The novel Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements consists of two main characters Bobby and Alicia who have cool and weird similarities and they have fascinating and interesting differences. The friends have similarities because they have 3 main similarities that consist of them both having moms that went and had the same major in the same college, they both use instant messaging, and that they both have school work. Interesting, smart, and wise is how you can describe them not being both “disabled”, the fact that they don’t both go to school, and that they are not both brave. Bobby and Alicia have 3 main differences but most importantly they have 3 main similarities.
Everything in life has similarities and differences as long as you're looking for them, but some have more than others. Comparing similarities and difference between two things in life is making a compare and contrast (book) . When comparing and contrasting two pieces of literature you have to observe not only the themes of them but also the plot. Fences by August Wilson and My Papa's Waltz by Theodore Roethke have many similarities and differences throughout the literature due to themes and the plot.
