Shawn and Gus may have solved countless crimes together for the Santa Barbra Police Department, in the show called Psych. The reason Shawn and Gus work so well together is because they have two very different styles of work and they express their humor in different ways. Even though this crime fighting team has differences they also have some similarities, including their generosity and compassion when it comes to their friends. Shawn and Gus may work together, but their styles of work are completely different. After high school, Shawn had over 50 jobs, one of which included working in a candy store. He also started an acupuncture clinic and even drove a “weinermobile”, claiming that he did it for the hot dogs. He has never found a career and …show more content…
Shawn’s father had conversation before Shawn interrogated his dad’s old friends. Shawn’s father asked Shawn to be respectful. Shawn responded with, “I will politely decline…” Shawn also doesn’t know when to stop joking, he jokes at very inappropriate situations like crime senses and while they are looking at the dead bodies. To prove this, Shawn said the following after a body was found with multiple stab wounds, “The puncture wounds, they are the key, they are giving me the impression that this crime could only have been committed by this guy.” *holds up picture of a Tyrannosaurus rex*. Unlike Shawn, Gus often gives kind and non-harmful jokes. One of the many situations in which Gus gives a non-harmful joke is when he was talking to a new detective. Gus started the conversation with, “Jail’s no fun. I’ll tell you that much.” The new detective asked him, oh, you’ve been in jail. Gus’s response was, “Once… in Monopoly.” Gus is more often the one being made fun of rather than the one cracking jokes. Shawn and Gus once were caught breaking into a suspects’ house, this conversation occurred when they were defending their situations, the suspect asked both of them, “Did you just break into my office?” Gus quickly said “No.” and right after that Shawn stated, “Why would you say that? Is it because he is black?” Gus is being

I have learned Lynn Police Department uses Facebook and Twitter. For example, there was a recent robbery in Lynn Massachusetts. “The Santander Bank at 35 Market Square was robbed on Tuesday October 13 at 11:01 a.m. An unidentified male entered the bank and demanded cash from the bank teller” ( https://www.facebook.com/LynnPoliceDepartment?fref=ts). Lynn Police Department used Facebook in a positive way by involving the community to seek answers on the suspect.
The juridicitional obligations for the Summerville Police Department is Summerville. Be that as it may, the town of Summerville is unequally apportioned amongst Charleston County, Dorchester County, and Berkeley County. To demonstrate, when I was riding with Officer Wells on a road, he said one half of the road belonged to Summerville and the other half belonged to another county. Additionally, I remember riding with officer Huggins. We passed several businesses.
No parents should ever have to bury their children. For the Lee family they not only lost a child but still live with the horror of not knowing who took their daughter’s life. On January 13, 1999, Baltimore, Maryland was racked with drama and tension when Woodlawn High School senior Hae Min Lee disappeared after school. Her mutilated body was discovered behind a log in Leakin Park on February 9, 1999 by a mysterious man know as Mr. S. Reports pin the cause of death on strangulation. After a long and drawn out trial, Hae Min Lee’s ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, was convicted of the crime and sentenced to life in prison.
Detective Dana Hughes, Metropolitan Police Department- I would not want to put Detective Dana Hughes on the stand. Often times it’s valuable to have the responding officer who at first hand witnessed the crime scene, although Hughes seems more like a bias hazard. It’s clear she has a bias to battered woman syndrome when in her affidavit she says, “it’s just a new excuse for committing murder. She never said anything about being beaten to me.
“I call outside seat,” says Ricky, making his way to the Boston van after a long day of school at Derby Academy in Hingham Massachusetts . “Same, guess you got middle Ugo,” says Tai rapidly as he tries to secure a good spot in our row. “No chance Tai. Ricky, yes, because he just turned 12 like, 3 days ago, but you? No, i’m the tallest here I can’t be in the middle seat.
I would like to receive clarification on the what is meant by Bethan Loftus in Police Occupation Culture with the reference he made to the work of Skolnick who understood “police conservatism as a cultural response to the uniqueness of the job"(107). I understand this concept of police officers committing to traditional values as they are in line with many of the rules they must enforce. Although, I don’t understand why the cultural response of police officer isn’t one of a more liberal nature. The unique component of the job of a police officer is having to deal with a consistently developing and progressing society; as our laws change so do the people. I don’t understand why the conservative mentality has continued over the years as

The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) are expected to comply with the ideals and expectations outlined in legislation and policy documents. These documents provide ethical, moral and legal principles to shape the decision-making process of police in the execution of their duty. This essay will discuss the failures of police to comply with these principles in dealing with potential juvenile offenders in the scenario. It will do this by examining their actions with reference to NSW legislation and relevant police force policy documents, discretionary powers and their application in the scenario, and communication techniques which could have had a more positive impact while complying with the directives of the NSWPF.
To begin with, social structure is defined as “the framework of society that was already laid out before you were born” (Henslin, 2015, p. 99). The social structural factors that influence the characters in N.W.A are the environment where they live (inner city neighborhoods of Compton, CA), gang-related crime, racism, and police brutality. These factors shape the characters’ personalities and actions. They are brought up to believe that because they are minorities, they have no hope and need to find a way to deal with everyday life, even if those ways are against the law.
Police corruption has been the largest ongoing problem in the United States criminal justice system. In the documentary, “The Seven Five” directed by Tiller Russell, he sheds light onto the story of former NYPD officer Michael Dowd and how he and his prescient were involved in committing numerous crimes, including running their own cocaine ring while on the job in the 1980’s, early 90’s. Per the Criminal Law- Lawyer Source, police corruption is defined as “the abuse of police authority for personal gain or to gain advantage for the police organization. Police corruption can take the form of a variety of criminal activities ranging from actual commission of serious criminal (i.e. drug trafficking and money laundering) to the instances where
The 1930s to the 1980s is referred to as the Reform Era of policing. Why? -The time period ranging from the 1930s to 1980s was referred to as the Reform Era of policing due to the drastic transition present in this period from political policing to a truer form of crime fighting policing. What reforms were made?

Unlawful immigration once an issue of border states such as Arizona or Texas is now impacting all states around the country with problems. Police corruption and the law breaking the law has very serious and unpleasant consequences, but the high profile scandals we hear about say a lot about how the establishment works nowadays. Yes, there was a level of expectation from the police who were involved in the incidents at Horsnett Farm, but experience established that expectation was never met Quote from Napoleon Bonaparte comes to mind ‘Never ascribe to malice, that which is adequately explained by incompetence’. Incompetence is the safest fallback position for the police force, because the alternative, in systemic corruption and abuse of power at the highest level is too awful to contemplate. Police
