Rudolf Hess said that, he a SS soldier aren’t supposed to think that if the Jews were as a matter of fact, his enemy. Rudolf Hess is more responsible for the outcome of the Holocaust than the unknown factory worker.
Many prisoners resisted the goals of the Nazis in many ways in the holocaust. In Sobibor, one of the ways the prisoners resisted was by revolting. There were a few Jewish resisters, including Leon Feldhendler and Aleksandr Pechersky. An underground movement, made up of a few people, made a plan. It was led by a Polish Jew named Leon Feldhendler, the son of a rabbi from the town of Zolkiewka.
Erich Maria Remarque, a German author, published All Quiet on the Western Front in 1929 as an anti-war novel. Remarque was a former soldier who actually endured the horrible effects of WWI (1914-1918). He used his experiences and writing to unveil the destructive aspect of war. Remarque was bothered by the fact that there was no anti war literature, and he became the first to publish an anti war novel. Although he bravely chose to publish his novel to shed light upon the detrimental effects of war, he was punished for doing so.
The Holocaust was a terrible time in the world’s history. Not many Jewish people made it out of the Holocaust alive, but Elie Wiesel not only made it through the dark years, but he also wrote a book and delivered a speech. Both of these things were meant to tell the world about the horrors that happened in the concentration camps and raise awareness about the Holocaust. The book Night tells us what Elie’s journey throughout 1943-1945 (the time of the Holocaust) was like with Nazis controlling the Jews. In the speech Perils of Indifference, Elie explains why it is dangerous to not have an opinion on certain topics.
Polices suspected him for unapproved help to Jews and illegal business (“Oskar Schindler”). He got arrested three times while he owned Emalia, but they couldn’t apply him with a sentence (“Schindler’s Factory”). After the war ended, his wife and him settled in Germany, later on in Afghanistan. In 1962, Oskar Schindler was awarded as “Righteous Among the Nations” for reviewing his effort putted in saving lives during the Holocaust, while putting himself in incredible risks (A Letter Written by Oskar Schindler’s Former Workers).
Schindler to the Rescue A rescuer is someone who saves a person from someone or something. The Holocaust was a mass genocide to the Jewish by the Nazis. During the Holocaust people would help people escape, making them a rescuer. Oskar Schindler's perspective of the Holocaust was that of many people, wrong
(Paragraph 13-15). Actively resisting avoids shame, guilt, and the humiliation of being helpless and sitting and watching your people die. On the flip side, others may argue that music, art, paintings, etc. was enough to protest. The flaw to that argument is that those would only be discovered after the war and only if the allies had won, by however actively arming yourself, killing Nazi’s and, sabotoging supplies the impact would be immediately felt, presenting a better chance of winning. When slavery was still a big problem, many of the slaves still ran away which was still resisting.
During World War II, Killing Centers were primarily created for the mass murder of undesirable humans throughout Europe. Killing centers were created when The Nazi’s realized they would need a faster way of killing Jews in larger quantities. One of the first killing
"Do you know why most survivors of the Holocaust are vegan? It's because they know what it's like to be treated like an animal,” as said by Chuck Palahniuk, the man himself. The term Holocaust has been studied by many different sceintists for over 30 years and The holocaust was a very murderous event killing over 11 million people. The man who lead the very murderous event was Adolf Hitler. In some schools, the teachers try not to even bring up the holocaust because they try to forget about it.
“We now have a voice for those who don’t.” During the Holocaust, seven million people died, six million which were Jews, and they will never be able to tell their stories. Emotional and physical heartbreak was created and needed to be recognized to express the truth. Elie Wiesel wrote Night to show his journey throughout The Holocaust. He published Night twenty three years later, terrified to relive the moments in his writing.
I want to live. A person has to hold on to his own will, hold on to that to the last minute.” By doing this report on Solomon Radasky, I’ve learned that I should be grateful for the life I have today. Many Holocaust survivors, like Solomon Radasky, have lost their lives to the Nazis and died trying to live each day during the Holocaust. Solomon Radasky cared about surviving in the camps because he wanted to survive, even though it seemed impossible for others.
This book is historically accurate because it talks about a person whose name is Daniel and how his life changed when the Nazi party came under control in 1933. This book says that they didn 't even know why they were being sent out of the country they lived in which was Germany because all they were told is that germany no longer wanted Jews in there so they all had to pack up and get on a train and leave the country they once lived in all their life, and they probably didn 't know why because they didn 't have any news tv shows back then and only relied on word of mouth or in the newspaper which is why the only thing they knew is that they had to leave the country. They also talked about boycotting stores because they were jewish and back then they had separated people in Germany because they were jewish but many people didn 't care and kept going to the jewish stores to get help and get supplies. They also talked about how they blamed everything on the Jews back then like if someone got into a fight they would always blame the jews and many kids couldn 't be friends with the jews so they ended up all fighting and stop hanging out like they used too before Hitler took over. They also fired
“…inability to understand and relate to the religious beliefs…an abysmal lack of understanding of the phenomenon of the religious faith,” (Arnold 24). However, some might say that the Davidians were too extreme in their faith and beliefs. They may have taken things too far, they should have surrendered when they were told to, etc. This is something the media and authorities played up publicly. Correlating the Davidians’ religious rituals to those of a cult.
For example, millions of people died due to the Nazi Concentration Camps while the casualties due to the Japanese Internment Camps were few. Hitler was ruthless, and when it came to the fate of millions of innocent people, he sent those useless to him to die. While people did die due to the Japanese Internment Camps, the American government didn’t intend to kill anyone and it wasn’t their first priority to kill the Japanese-Americans. In addition to this, the country of Israel was created for Jewish people who survived the Holocaust yet those who survived the Japanese Internment Camps were left to start their life all over again. Though it still causes fighting today, the country of Israel was created to serve as a home for those who survived the Holocaust since no one else was willing to take them in.
Adolf Hitler once said, “Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.” One man who stood out as a fighter was Simon Wiesenthal. He was a victim of the Holocaust but also an influence to many Jews. After being imprisoned by Hitler, Simon Wiesenthal, a Jew, sought revenge by spending his life hunting Nazis in hiding.
