1 Categories of Pollution 5 2 Development of water resources 10 Abstract Over the years, there was no awareness about environmental pollution. People were unaware about the sources of environmental pollution and they did not know how to lessen it. Environmental pollution was creating diseases and problems for humans and water life. Wastage of human and industries was creating serious problems. But now, by the passage of time, steps are taken to prevent
In addition to this, Gandhi organized several peaceful protests throughout his lifetime to stand up against issues that mattered to him. His way of thinking was that if there was something that needed a solution, he would be the one to offer it. This is what makes Gandhi such a prominent figure in history, and a
Very few of them were wealthy or in positions of power, because they enjoyed the benefits of the British Empire and could be ruined by it's demise. Because he had such masses of followers, they were difficult to control and often rioted despite his calls for nonviolence. As things progressed Gandhi became less of a leader and more of a reason to fight for a common purpose: the freedom of India. Jesus, however, had no cause for which His followers could fight but rather a message for them to apply and spread to others. His followers were not automatically attracted to Him as Gandhi's were, and all He had in terms of recognition was a brief introduction from John the Baptist.
He was also involved in opposing discriminatory legislation against Indians in South Africa. How did Gandhi become successful in leading his non-violence movement? The key of his success was in his unique style of leading. Gandhi was a transformational leader, meaning that he led by “raising one another to higher levels of morality and motivation”. Gandhi redefined his followers’ mission and vision, renewed their commitment, and restructured their system for goal accomplishment.
Why is he remembered as the father of Nation? Another evidence is that it is known for most people that Gandhi became an inspiration for the future leaders in their road to freedom and nationalist movements. One of them was great Martin Luther King who admitted with great pleasure the influence of the Gandhi on his actions. These all actually illustrate us to what extend Gandhi was an effective leader with his arguments leading the road for freedom to his country. To conclude, he was a man with tremendous personal courage by leading revolutionary change without the violence, a man who could transform the nation.
Many people changed their work from agricultural to non-agricultural tasks moved to industrial regions and lead to mass migrations within a country. Big cities were established as a result of industrial revolution and played important role in production, consumption and politics (C.A. Bayly 2004, 185). One of positive influence of industrial revolution is that transportation such as railway was also developed (Eric 1996, 60). Development of transportation is important not only for the development of industrial revolution to transport materials, goods, workers, but also for the connection among different regions, which is a part of
Noise pollution (or acoustic contamination) is called the excess of sound that disturb normal ambient conditions in a specific area. While noise does not accumulate, moved or maintained over time as other pollutants, can also cause extensive damage to the quality life of people, if is not well controlled. The term "noise pollution" refers to noise (defined as excessive and annoying sound) caused by human activities (traffic, industry, entertainment, aircraft, etc. ), which produces negative effects on hearing, physical health and mind of living beings. This term is closely related to the noise because this is when the noise is considered a contaminant.
Unlike all other pollution causing components of environment (such as waste water, contaminated air and solid waste which accumulates and pollutes) sound/noise is not an element, compound or substance which can accumulate but, its action is instant. It is a special kind of wave-action usually transmitted by air, in the form of pressure waves and received by the hearing apparatus (ear) in the body of human beings and animals. Sound is the vibrating molecules in the air that reaches our ear, when this sound becomes unwanted and displeasing it is termed as noise. A developing country like India is facing several environmental problems like air water and noise pollution. Noise pollution is one of the major component of pollution in urban areas.
It also discusses about Gandhi’s trustworthiness, how it ascended and if there were any space for perfection. To finish, the paper will put light on if Gandhi would be successful as a leader in a different field of leadership. Keywords: Gandhi, trustworthiness, leader, Perfection, Mahatma A Leader That I Admire: Mahatma Gandhi Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was the most significant leader in India’s history to gain independence. He is also the pioneer of nonviolence disobedience act that significantly reformed the shape of the world. As Chanakya, an Indian scholar once said “A man is great by deeds not but birth”. This quote is quite true to Gandhi as even after being born in a aristocrat family he wore dhoti and spun his Irish spinning wheel to make cloth. He did this because he had started a movement in which the Indian’s stopped buying cloth from the British called ‘Stop British Cloth’. Gandhi was famous around the world due to the impact of his deeds like spinning the Irish wheel. There are many deeds he did which helped him achieve his standard but the three most important one’s are: the 21 day fasts he did to protest against the between the Muslims and the Hindu’s; becoming a successful lawyer with a law office in South Africa back when no one respected India; taking three bullets right in the chest to free India from the British control.
