Who has better qualities Gilgamesh or Sindbad? Both heroes Gilgamesh and Sindbad each have their own qualities. The main qualities that help create a hero are bravery, the ability to care for others, and patience. I believe the most important quality found in a hero is being patient. I think Sindbad has the most patience out of the two heroes. Gilgamesh is a hero in the The Epic of Gilgamesh. In addition, Gilgamesh is considered a hero because he tried saving his friend, Enkidu, when he was dying. Sindbad is also a hero in the story The Second Voyage of Sindbad the Sailor. Sinbad goes on a voyage on which he acquires diamonds. Following, Sinbad comes back from the dead and he gives strangers money.
The qualities that the hero Gilgamesh has acquired are bravery, and caring.Gilgamesh takes courage “When Gilgamesh saw them he shielded his eyes for the length of a moment only I then he took courage and approached”(Gilgamesh,37).When Gilgamesh saw scorpions stand guard,half man,and half dragon he got terrified but eventually got the courage to go and approach them.He has the …show more content…

Sindbad is a hero with many qualities but the one that make him stand out is being generous. “Scarcely had I advance a few steps,when I saw at the far end of the cave can enormous serpent coiled in a great knot round its eggs”(Sindbad,586).Sindbad just got to this crazy place where animals are humongous and he happens to wake up and walk around and see a huge serpent.He had the courage to not be not be frightened by a huge serpent.When Sindbad found his diamonds and got back to the valley “But first pray accept some of these diamonds, which I myself gathered in the fearful valley below”(Sindbad,586).
