Singapore is under a rapid economic growth during the last half century, as Singaporean has given up their liberties. However, many things in Singapore is forbidden and under the government control, as the Singapore government wants to modify citizens in a good way. And this may also hinder the development of creative industry and hamper the city’s development, as there need to be highly obedience and strictly follow the regulations. Such as in the film, Terry’s mother Khoo represents the government, a domineering mother who plan almost everything and highly control the freedom of her children.
