This popular dish originated from Vigan in the Ilocos Region. Similar to lechon kawali and chicharon, Bagnet is solely made up of deep fried pork belly that is seasoned with different spices such as pepper, garlic and bay leaves. This must-try dish is traditionally served with fermented anchovies.

Sinigang
This sour and savory pork stew, known as Sinigang is closely associated with tamarind and is considered one of the flavorful viands that the Philippine cuisine could offer. This dish uses pork or any other meat, vegetables such as water spinach and taro and souring agents which could include tamarind and green mangoes.

Adobo is a distinctive Filipino meal that is considered as the unofficial national dish of the Philippines. I Would Choose to Spend a Day With Desi Arnaz Desiderio Alberto Arnaz III was a Cuban actor and musician. He is probably most known for starring in I Love Lucy, a Popular television series in the 1950s, with his wife Lucille Ball. Desi Arnaz moved from Cuba to Miami in 1934, when he was seventeen years old. He started off cleaning bird cages for his first job, but he really had a talent for acting and music. He made his own bands, and eventually made it to Broadway in the play, “Too many Girls” and then to Hollywood in the film version.
Wrongful convictions are not very common in the United States, studies estimate that 4%-5% of people convicted in United States prisons are actually innocent. Adnan Syed was wrongfully convicted for the murder of Hae Min Lee. There is tons of evidence to prove why he is innocent and guilty. Ultimately, he was proven innocent after 23 years of false imprisonment. There were many misleading facts/statements and unfair trials due to the defense.
On January 13th, 1999 Hae Min Lee disappeared. Somewhere between 2:15 and 2:36 p.m. that day she was murdered. Four weeks later on February 9th, 1999 her body was found at Leakin Park. On February 28th, 1999 Adnan Masud Syed, Hae’s ex-boyfriend, was arrested and charged with first degree murder. However since his arrest Adnan has maintained his innocence and insists he had no involvement whatsoever in Hae Lee’s murder.
Who really is the murder of Hae Min Lee? Two high school teenagers who go to Woodland High School are suspects of Hae Min Lee’s murder. Hae was murdered by manual strangulation, but there was not enough evidence to prove Adnan guilty. Adnan’s friend Jay admitted to helping Adnan bury the body. An investigative reporter named Sarah Koenig made a podcast in 2014 about Lee’s murder.
On May 14, 2017 I interviewed Pouneh Sanaee about what it means to be American to her. She’s an immigrant that moved here two years ago from Iran. she wants to be a pharmacist, start to play basketball basketball like she used to in High School, and be able to help her family. The reason that she moved here was because she is Baha'i and the government in Iran says that it’s crime to be Bahai. The government used to jail her family just because of what they believed in which is really sad.

In Tan’s early life she had many struggles because her parents desired for her “to hold onto Chinese traditions and her own longings to become more Americanized” (Encyclopedia).
