Isaac Newton, also known as Sir Isaac Newton, who was an English natural philosopher, is described and known as the most original and the most influential theorist of all time. Along with his invention of calculus and the new theory of light and color, he changed the physical side of science with his three laws of motion and the law of universal gravitation. Newton’s work combines the work of many philosophers such as Copernicus, Kepler, Descartes, and many others to a new and very powerful synthesis. Newton’s mother returned to Woolsthorpe in 1653 after the death of her second husband to reunite with him, but at that time, Newton refused any attention from his mother because of the fact that she dropped him off and left. This became a hint on what his character was like. Newton had a very unhappy childhood and he often times verged on emotional collapse, and occasionally he fell into violent attacks against friends and foes. When Newton’s mother arrived back in Woolsthorpe, he was pulled out of school and put to work as a farmer so he could carry on doing what his parents had done when they were growing up. He failed that calling of his life, but he did it happily. He then returned to school at King’s School at Grantham to prepare himself for college at Trinity College. Numerous events about Newton’s life had been saved to this time, but the biggest turning point in his life had happened when he left school to go to Cambridge University.
