1. INTRODUCTION When we hear the word “sixth sense” we started relating the word with the blind people extraordinary power. Likewise, the word “Sixth Sense” meaning is connected with our technology also. Sixth Sense Technology is a wearable gesture based computer system. It augments the physical world around us and converts them into digital information.
It was developed by Pranav Mistry, a PhD student in the Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab. A grad student with the Fluid Interfaces Group at MIT, he caused a storm with his creation of SixthSense. Right now we use our “devices” (computers, mobile phones, tablets, etc.) to go into the internet and get information that we want. With SixthSense we will use a device no bigger than current cell phones and probably eventually as small as a button on our shirts to bring the internet to us in order to interact with out
During early childhood, developing children uncover and explore the main sensory foundation of life. The five senses: smell, taste, sight, sound, and touch, form a group of five fundamental responses the mysterious human body can perform. As humans, these abilities come natural and as we grow, they amplify into an everlasting machine of sensations. The five senses fall victim as overlooked abilities. Constantly going unnoticed, unless of course, when missing.
Most likely, they are admitted to a nursing home or hospital, but this is not the permanent solution for them and also an expensive way. In that case, wearable technology is playing an important role to solve this particular problem. It continuously monitors the physical activities of elder people which minimizes the risk of illness and injuries. With the help of wearable devices, they can observe their own health activities and measure, blood pressure, heart rate, calories burned etc. (Chan et al.
What do you find by your side all the time? Your handheld device, of course. Such technological devices have really improved our lifestyle by saving time, effort and energy for only a little extra cost. They provide us comfort and convenience in our day-to-day lives. Modern technology has made it easy for people to acquire education, helped expand and improve businesses, made it easy to stay in
Everyone knows the five senses of human. This technology that connects our physical world to the virtual world is
ABSTRACT Through the evolution of technology, man can surpass many weaknesses by developing computers with intelligence just like a real human being. The discovery of artificial intelligence and the continuous development of such subject, gives us the benefits that almost limitless. One of the application of this gift of science is the face detector, a combination of software and hardware interface that lets a computer to identify, detect and follow a human face and even any related objects. This project aims to let students understand how technologies just like a face detector help our industry and security in monitoring human activities. It also aims to give the students the opportunity to develop a more effective face detector that can surpass any constraints.
Perception is a process of classifying, interpreting and giving meaning to what is happening and what we see around us. Besides that, it also is a process that making a perception or judgment just based on what the information that they received. Perception is also called as percepio, a Latin word, it is defined as an organization or interpretation of the information received to understand the environment around us. The 5 human senses are used to receiving the information. The 5 human senses stand for a major role to cause in perception that made by individual.
ABSTRACT A touchscreen is an important source of input device and output device normally layered on the top of an electronic visual display of an information processing system. A user can give input or control the information processing system through simple or multi-touch gestures by touching the screen with a special stylus and/or one or more fingers. Some touch screens use ordinary or specially coated gloves to work while others use a special stylus/pen only. The user can use the touchscreen to react to what is displayed and to control how it is displayed; for example, zooming to increase the text size. INTRODUCTION Touch screens have become popular.
However, such knowledge is bound to be superficial and partial. The limitations of sense experience as a source of knowledge are too numerous to be counted or tabulated. If we are genuinely interested in the attainment of valid and authentic knowledge, we must rise above the knowledge furnished by sense experience. Human beings share their five senses with all other living beings; insects, reptiles, birds and animals. A person who is wholly dependent upon sense experience can be compared to an ass that is lost in the world of appearances.
