Brief Information of the experiment:
Independent Variable: Different Wind direction (Check Photo 1 below)
1. One direction from East, South, West, North, Upward, South East (SE), South West (SW), North West (NW), and North East (NE).
2. Two different wind direction simultaneously:
Ex) From West & East (W-E), South & Upward (S-U), North East & North West (NE-NW), South East & South West (SE-SW), South East & Upward (SE-U), North West & Upward (NW-U), West & Upward (W-U), and North West & South East (NW-SE)

(Including stability of the human figure while flying)
Control Variable:
1. Same Skateboard and same human figure are used. Moreover, the pose of the ski jumper is constant as it is shown in photo 3.
2. Room temperature is 22°C ± 1°C
Room humidity is 50% ± 1%

First of all, it was able to conclude that wind going upward is the most influential wind direction to the performance and the results of ski jumping event. This is because ski jumper flies more than 92cm all the time. In addition, wind coming from South has considerable impact on the ski jumper. The reason for this is because the wind from South enables ski jumpers to fly near 90, which is far distance compared to other directions of the wind. The key point is that when these two directions combined, this provides the chance to ski jumper to fly the farthest. Evaluation: Overall observations still permit me to draw a conclusion on the effects of different wind directions on the performance and results of ski jumper. However there are certain limitations of the experiment. Generally, random
Feltman references readers with the facts about drag and how it slows Olympic skaters down, while explaining the human body isn’t very aerodynamic. The article references, “A skater's suit covers the body so that lumpy, bumpy skin isn't getting dragged through the air. Smooth surfaces such as nylon and spandex make the body sleeker, which makes it more aerodynamic.” As the article concludes the author highlights that a tiny little bump can add the tiniest little lick of
The experiment overall was nicely conducted, and results were found through the information gathered. The dependent variable was established very quickly; furthermore, we can find the dependent variable was whether the athletes played a contact sport or a sport like baseball, where most concussions come from being hit by the ball. The independent variable is the number of concussions the test subjects obtained. Ultimately they could not control how many concussions each individual obtained but they controlled which individuals were chosen and what test were ran. The results that ran throughout the whole experiment was an overall success, the results show that multiple compared to single occurring concussions do not have an effect on P3 suppression.
In the essay “Take it in Strides” the author, Anna Macherchevich, develops an exciting and intriguing paper. She tells a compelling narrative that expresses the importance of cross country and her team to her life. To accomplish this, she used well thought out descriptive language and dialogue that gives a good understand to the reader of her love of the sport. Firstly, Macherchevich she explains how cross country had given her the ability to set her mind on a goal and push through all challenges.
Natural Selection is the concept that organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. This leads to the creation of populations and diversity of life within them. In the Skittlefish Lab, many separate occurrences can be observed which detail and explain how Natural Selection works on a population over a period of time. Certain adaptations in a species in its entirety may display how individuals impact the whole population as they pass their traits onto their offspring, which do the same. This lab required students to observe the individual “Skittlefish” and “Sea M&Ms” in different environments as they camouflaged and hid from predators.
PACE TECHNICAL PAPER ROUGH DRAFT This experiment was conducted in an attempt to have wooden baseball bats brought back to NCAA and high school and children’s leagues, too. The experiment idea was to set up a pendulum where the bat swung down and hit the ball in the same spot every time. Then I measured where the ball hit the ground.
This can include discussing performance elements such as flip jump, a triple axel with a double toe loop, or a butterfly camel spin. There is also a set method when judges are deciding on the scores for competitors. Each competitor competes in a short program and a free skate (long program), within these programs, skaters are judged on artistry and technical performance. One of the conventions of communication that skaters use to communicate with their judges when doing these programs, is through facial expressions and their artistic movements. This allows them to “sell” their performance and the quality of it to the judges so they can get a higher scoring.
The student gave each person a clothespin. In each pair, Student 1 is going to be exercising before squeezing a clothespin and Student 2 is going to be resting before squeezing the clothespin (independent variable). First, Student 1 began doing 15 jumping jacks and 10 pushups while Student 2 rested for 1 minute. When Student 1 completed the jumping jacks
Roller coasters are an exciting, popular and fun ride at amusement parks. The physics behind roller coasters are very interesting and captivating. This report will be about the energy changes involved during the ride, minimum energy required to make the ride safe, but also ensuring that it is also exciting, forces involved in the ‘clothoid loop’ and the weight changes experienced by the rider during their ride through the loop. First, the roller coaster’s energy is conserved and at the start of the ride they will need to have sufficient energy to complete the ride.
Future Experimenters might test throwing the ball at different speeds through the football passing machine. This may show something that could not be seen in the data from this experiment. In addition to receiving different data and statistics, experimenters may find outliers and anomalies that were not found in this set of data. Only testing at the one speed on the football passing machine may have hid statistical curves that could only be seen by changing the speed of the machine. By testing different speeds, it may show that normal regulation football will not actually travel the farthest.
This scientific question is, does the different kind of gum increase or decrease your concentration? This question was chose because many people in the world always are looking for some tips on what helps them concentrate, and chewing gum is a very easy way to help improve concentration. The Independent Variable is the type of gum, the Control Group is Bubble Gum, the Experimental Group is the Spearmint, the Dependent Variable is test scores, the Constant Variables are same timed test, same timer, and same brand of gum. The hypothesis for this science fair project is if spearmint gum is chewed then the person's concentration will be increased. This hypothesis was picked because spearmint gum is minty and the scientist thought that maybe mint impacted the brain the most.
Geometry is an extremely vital part of the sport of baseball. People may not know it, but almost everything done during a game of baseball has something to do with geometry. Many examples could prove how the favorite pastime of America would not be itself if Geometry was not around to play an important role To begin with, the infield is formed in the shape of a diamond, which is just a parallelogram that is equilateral, and an essential part of the sport due to the fact that most of the players on the roster stand and make plays in that area. Also, the bases on the field take on the appearance of squares, whose definition is a parallelogram that is equilateral and equiangular, the bases are also a major part of the game since it must be touched by the
As you step off the lift, you head straight for the trail, and start zooming down. You speed by your friends as you have adrenaline running through your veins! You head straight for the ramp and you jump! Soaring through the air like an eagle you touch down to the ground, and stop down at the bottom of the mountain. Skiing is a fun winter pastime that is way healthier than sitting by the fire.
Olympic ski jumping is a very competitive sport that amazes its audience. It is important to know about the technique of the sport, its background, major jumpers, and the scoring process. Although the sport looks simple, ski jumping takes lots of skill and practice. It starts off with a large curved ramp with heights of 70 and 90 meters (Kolur).
There can’t be any sport played without physics. Physics has a vital role in the field of sports. Physics can be linked with sports on many different levels. When we play sports, lift weight or even buy sports equipment we probably don’t know how much physics is applied on it. The manufacture has to consider about what will make the equipment better, and what material will cause the material to function at its max potential.
BACKGROUND AND LITERATURE REVIEW 2. Clinical Background 2.1 The human spine The human spine (also referred to as vertebral column or spinal column) is a bony structure in the middle of the back starts at the base of the skull and continues to the pelvis. It consists of vertebrae (small bones) and joints (intervertebral disks) together to form a flexible and stable spinal column.
