Personal Narrative: Ski Trip To Boyne Highlands

This past weekend, my family and I drove up to Harbor Springs, Michigan for a ski trip at Boyne Highlands. Some of the families that went with us were the Browns, Morrs, Hesses, Eckhardts, Riggs, Seamans, and many others. We headed up to Boyne Highlands on March 1st, which was last Thursday. We left right after the school dance was over. The car ride to Boyne was close to six hours long. In the car, I spent most of my time reading, listening to music, playing cards with my siblings, and sleeping. My family and I, including Meggie Voigt, arrived in Boyne around 10:00 p.m. After checking into our condo and unpacking, we hung out with some of the families from Bryan that had rooms near ours.

I was very sore due to all of the wipeouts and falls that occurred the day before. Once I was changed into my snowboard outfit, I headed down to breakfast with my friends once again. The breakfast was delicious and my favorite breakfast food from there was definitely the waffles! After eating, it was time to hit the slopes again. I spend a lot of my day at Funland. Funland is a terrain park that has rails, boxes and jumps. The jump at the bottom of Funland is the biggest. It didn’t take long for Carter to land the jump, so, I was motivated to try it too. After several attempts and some bruises, I finally did it. Kellen Rigg got a good video of me landing the jump. Subsequently, I spent the rest of the day going down black diamonds, having fun conversations on the ski lifts, and enjoying the amazing hot chocolate at the lodge. Once my friends and I were done skiing for the day, we went to our condos. Later, we all went into the hot tub and had a blast. Afterwards, we all met up around 11:00 p.m. My friends and I played cards for the rest of the night and had a very fun time. The second day on the slopes was by far my
