The Civil War was a unique and significant event in American history. According to many historians, the war was ultimately the final resolution of contradictions in the vision of America when the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. It stated that “all men are created equal” and “endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights”. The war’s origins lay in slavery, which began in North America in the early 1600s and grew rapidly in the South, which caused the southern economy as a whole depended on heavily on slave labor leading up to the Civil War. Slavery, the splitting of which state would be slave or free, and Abraham Lincoln played a major role that was responsible for the nature of the war than any other individual.
Many believe it was a fight for the rights and freedom of slaves, so what was the main cause of the Civil War was the issue of states rights and the preservation of the Union than rather than the issue of slavery. The primary cause of the Civil War was the issue of slavery. “Slavery played an important role in changing the United States slaves didn 't had any right. ”(Overview of Slavery).

The Southern and Northern states differentiate on many issues, which ultimately led them towards a Civil War. There stood deep social, economic, and political disparities between the North and the South. These modifications stemmed from the understanding of the United States Constitution on both sides. In the end, most of these disputes about the rights of states directed to the Civil War. There existed reasons other than slavery on behalf of the South 's breakaway.

In the early 1800’s slavery was a huge issue in the south. Some people are important to our nation’s history because of their efforts to abolish slavery. Causes of the civil war Slavery: The burning issue of slavery caused many problems that threatened the nation and its people. I believe that the Fugitive Slave Act was the main cause of the Civil War. This was when the south forced the north to catch any runaway slaves. Even if they just let the slave go through there property there is a high chance they could still get caught. When they get caught for not catching the slave they get fined 30,000 dollars in today's money. If they were to catch a slave and then have it run away it would be a 100,000 dollar fine.
To us, the Northerners, the Civil War was a great event that banned slavery in the South. Slavery was wrong in every way in the United States because everyone was made equally and shall be treated equally. On the Constitution, it states that “all men are created equal”, the word “men” should include all white men and all black men. Freed slaves should not be captured again and used them for labor work. Freed slaves should have freedom everywhere throughout America.
