Slime Rancher One of the newest life simulation games available to gamers is Slime Rancher. Following an early access release back in January, the game officially launched for Windows, macOS, Linux and Xbox on August 1st. Slime Rancher was developed and published by Monomi Park. It’s a single-player video scheme that uses the Unity game engine. Slime Rancher uses colorful graphics to accent a clever plot for gameplay. If a slime generates more than three characteristic traits from eating too many different plorts, they will mutate. · Mutated slimes turn into a black slime called a tarr. These tarrs are viciously destructive and will infect all the other slimes around them if not stopped. They have the capacity to devour the entire ranch. · To stop the spread of the tarr slimes, players must quickly pump fresh water from the ponds and springs to splash on the tarrs. Fresh water gradually disintegrates them. · Players build their ranches as they successfully feed and foster the slimes, all the while avoiding turning them into tarrs by being overly eager. The Bottom Line The initial reviews were mostly positive, but there were some bugs in the system that curbed early enthusiasm. These have all been fixed. Slime Rancher is an enjoyable romp through an amusing world of slimy little creatures. Most reviews rated overall performance, characters and gameplay between 4 and 5 stars.
