When I was young and impressionable, I wanted to be sorted into Gryffindor, because that was the house that all the heroes in the Harry Potter series were in. As I grew older, however, I started to associate myself more with Slytherin. Out of all the houses, I believe that I share the most qualities with Slytherin. My friends also describe me as a Slytherin. They say that my personality is most compatible with that house.

Indeed, education is important; it opens more paths in life. Education allows you to see life through a different lens. I had friends, but most of my attention was focused on grades. I was shy, so I was afraid of meeting new people. In High School, I realized that school is not just about grades, it is also about the friendships you make. Making new friends and social interactions have made high school much more enjoyable, and has greatly improved my confidence and boosted my independence.
During high school, I rediscovered the importance of family. I always had their unwavering support. I used to take it for granted, and it went unappreciated. I used to always get annoyed when they would continuously fuss over the school, taking it as useless nagging, or when they would criticize, which stung. I know better now. I now try to see from their perspective, instead of getting defensive.
When university comes, I am certain that I will realize more things that are important. In the future, I aspire to achieve a secure life for myself. I hope that my future education will open more paths in life, which will let me see life through a different lens, and enable me to give back to the community, and to my family. They have supported me throughout the years, and it is only right that I support them in the
