At a private college the campus is much more smaller than a state college. Everyone at the college is known for who they are. They are known by their name, not just a number. Most students are in many extra things; therefore, if you do not know someone, chances are you will be attending something with them. Having a small campus can be very beneficial to learning. With less students, there is more time to have one on one with the professors. When students have the chance to go in early or stay after class to understand the material better, they are going to do better in the class and on the test. Less students also means more hands on learning. Many students today learn better doing hands on learning. The professors are able to get in on the
Attending either school will place me geographically close to at least some family which is a major plus of both colleges. The size of the school is very important to me. I am looking for a small school where I can have close relationships with my classmates and professors. The idea of going to a massive university and sitting in a class replete with 500 plus kids with a professor that is nonchalant enough to not care if his students are paying
Another benefit of the community college is the size of the class is
During lunchtime, students generally make their way through the crowded cafeteria to sit with their friends, and enjoy their lunch while being supervised; however, many schools are now authorizing students to have an open campus lunchtime. An open campus allows students to leave school campus unsupervised to have lunch or hang out at a local restaurant or business. Having an open campus is beneficial because it allows students to gain independence, responsibility, trust, the health of students, socialize with friends, and help increase business at local restaurants. Therefore, I believe Arapahoe should continue to have an open campus for the benefit of our students. Having an open campus allows students to leave the school grounds to have lunch outside and be able to socialize with their peers.
Teachers can respect the student as they want to be respected, minimizing the sarcasm that controls classrooms. Students can become understanding to their peers, creating a harmony in a class atmosphere. Poverty may control the students home, but poverty has no grip on the students
It allows them to be busier and engaged to the learning strategies that they are learning. It helps the teachers and students to push students to get their work done on time to get their credits in a faster way with good grades which will bring a smile on their faces and make them feel proud of themselves. Also, you get a fantastic experience that no one will ever regret when they graduate. Also, the teachers have to do less marking than regular high school years, for instance, if the class is significant, the teacher cannot teach everyone at once. So, this gives an opportunity to everyone who takes school year-round everyone will be able to maintain at the same pace when the teacher is teaching the whole class.
The community colleges offer undecided students, working students, older students, and transferring students the opportunity to save money with lower tuition; it offers a slower pace for older and working students. Community college offers the student the opportunity to have a better relationship with the professor than at a university or an institution of higher learning. Some students feel that a community college is better suited for their needs instead of attending an institution of higher learning. The workload at a community college maybe lighter, classes
Picking to attend a Community college for me is the best choice that I picked for my education. Community colleges provide a great service to students in many more ways other than just education. They help students who are unsure what they want to do or are unable to attend a four year university. Community Colleges also provide continuing education even after they have gotten a degree and a job.
For example, a study done shows that having a four-day week increases a student’s attendance throughout the week. This will help a student learn more. This will also help them to better understand what they are doing in class since they have not missed school. From personal experience coming back to school after missing one or more days is very confusing and stressful. It is very hard to learn and understand all the work missed school their grades would be better because they would not have missing assignments.
Socialization becomes much easier in college. In college, there are sororities, fraternities, and many other small communities. Many may go for a socialization status, just to say they are attending. Others believe that college is where they will find themselves. College is a place to obtain a
We will have more time to see our family. When people go to college out of town they don’t get to see family. Some people can 't see their family because their parents work nights. Some people need to talk and express stuff to their family. As well as the parents can tell them what 's going on around the house.
Under-crowded classes the positives are better test scores, fewer drop outs and higher graduation rates, especially for poorer children according to?Everyone knows students learn more in smaller classes, or do they?. But as a con more teachers are needed which many states believe they can 't afford right now. To answer this project STAR was made to see if smaller classes were better learning conditions, they had bad results because they hired inexperienced teachers. There was many budget cuts causing a school to only have a certain amount of teachers. These cuts mad classes bigger and harder to teach.
Students are also capable of being more involved in the class and can have more detailed strategies on how to defend themselves that they can practice over and over throughout the
I. INTRODUCTION The phenomenon of many private universities that service excellence and quality is a challenge for private universities in Riau Archipelago, to win the competition and challenge university managers, especially in recruiting prospective students, this is where the importance of universities to identify factors that become the consideration of a prospective student choosing a private university. It also is a great way to get close with the professors. By not showing up, you will gain that advantage. Some professors give out participation points. A student 's grade can slip when they do not attend class due to a of lack of participation. Also, it is a good idea for students to sit in the front of the class.
As a result, they will become more socially to meet new friends and they will have many friends. For the poor students, they will become extremely fearful to do new things that they never touch before and will not leaves to their comfort zone. Example like when
